Hey keza thanks for changing the way i play uo. Im almost done with my macer tamer dexer ala the original keza build. I want to build a kezaesque axer build but am torn between healing like keza's build and resist. I mean without healing, i will have to pot and wand, but i have never actually not had resist on any of my characters. Even mules. Someone gimme some advice. The build now as it stands is GM LBJ GM Swords GM Anatomy GM Lore GM Vet 80 Tactics 30 Magery 90 Healing or resist Which should i take?
BlackEye's idea is not bad, I rarely use healing but you'll always need a way to heal yourself (magery). Down side of that is when you run 100/100/25 and need to heal yourself more then twice and have no mana left to cure, heal, or even recall away.
So.....if I understand this correctly you have Veterinary to heal the ostard mount (only 1 pet since no taming) which tanks for you while you melee the mobs? Interesting idea but....a niche/funsies build IMO. Not anything truly viable to be effective like other more "standard" builds. I would not discourage you from doing this, but just understand its not efficient, excludes you from farming alot of higher end stuff, and just for lulz/fun. FWIW
@Por Corp Wis you are incorrect sir. This build is comparable to a provo/dexxer and I have used it to Ironman every AMIB, and most lvl7 Tmaps. For your entertainment: OSSYTANK
Seriously? An Ossy can effectively tank and you can output enough DPS with only 80 tactics? Dont you miss swings ALOT at 80? And magery at 30....how do you get anything accomplished really? Minimum amt of magery to 100% a recall from a scroll is mid 50s correct so...you dont cast recall alot and you even fail at scrolls frequently I assume? Going to watch that video. Think Ive seen it before. Ironman every AMIB and most level 7 maps...wow. Ok I stand corrected by unique buildmaster @Keza Ill defer to his experience.
80 tactics is easily fixed with +20 and +25 weapons and 30 magery allows me to successfully recall 19/20 times with a scroll/runebook.
I have watched his keza axer dps video. He can take dragons. Thats enough for me for a niche build. More fun than a standard LBJ dexer for sure
The point is this, Sadly a regular ostard can tank better than a player with parry relying on bandaging themselves due to the extremely short healing delay with veterinary. If you get past the graphics and think of the addition as just math, it makes better sense. An ostard is a buff that brings you nearly double your hit points, shortens your healing timer down to a possible 3 seconds per bandage, more than double walking speed, and a DOT with a near zero casting time. Couple that with a tactics modifying slayer weapon and you've a dangerous character. ... and this is why I effing hate taming.
Add golems, make tinkering more viable and would allow warriors to take on deadlier targets (if you allow them to be healed with bandages or at all). Bring warriors further up to par with tamer builds, in a PvM sense.
Tactics gives a far better bonus to weapon damage than Anatomy. I would go GM Tactics, 80 Anatomy 80 Healing 40 Magery. I tend to lean on this build until I'm comfortable with the character enough.
