We’re supposed to hold hands and sing songs while we all peacefully kill elves together.. duh. & then give the scrolls to ppl we don’t know, cause we don’t value our time (wait wtf) lol it’s felucca, survival of the fittest kill or be killed.. I think young wyatt more a tutor than griefer. Lesson A. Don’t hop random gates, K thanks Obama. Lesson B. When killing elves kill all opposition...cause 50/50 chance if you don’t they will kill you. @Gollum sucks to see you leave you were a pest in the shadows but a pleasure to have on here. We had a few good run ins even worked together for a few “missions”. Once you get situated in real life, don’t hesitate to come back man!
Farewell Gollum your humility for us as humans and your ability to make it fun knowing its possible that slithering gollum could be lurking in the shadows was a welcome aspect to when you first joined. Sad i was hoping we could have a few hands at times at that poker table we were at. Farewell sir and good luck!
Hey Gollum, Don't believe I met you but sorry to hear you're leaving. I've noticed and experienced the same type of greed/grief you're talking about. It indeed sucks and I can see why it would make some people quit doing dungeons or quit UO altogether. Being productive in real life is much more rewarding anyways. Take care man
Gollum! We crossed paths the other day. You stopped and said hello! That was great! It's such a rare occurence. I was about 20 seconds away from trying to give you an outfit. You were naked at the time. That is all that I know you for and, for that, I'll miss you.
I don't believe we've met but I'm sorry to see you go. In my short time on this shard my experiences have been overwhelmingly positive, although I have become very aware of those that think that just because this is a Felucca shard it gives them the right to act however they wish and (probably) release their frustration and anger from being picked on in junior high school on everyone else. I go out of my way to drop heals on random strangers (also paying forward the help that Skunk Ape provided me when I needed it) and help newbies, hoping that I get to them before the a-holes. I hope you would consider staying, but certainly do what is best for yourself.
Couldn't agree with you more on this point. Using tames is definitely my jam, but after my first few weeks playing here I saw a huge imbalance with the whole tamer system. So vowed never to use dragons, White Wyrms, or Nightmares and its been amazing. @Gollum you definitely gave me a run for my money during halloween . Ill admit that every time you showed up I was like "ahhhh damn, this guys again" but the game really needs all types of players. Sad to see ya go, I wish you the best.
It's as if the 2 guys that disagree with the OP have no idea how to express their counterargument without sounding like those people who constantly drive away people from UO shards....
Thanks for all the kind words and feedback everyone. Have some good ideas cooking for scroll events so stay tuned!
Saw you running around a few times, don't think you got a chance to steal anything from me tho (the name gollum doesn't aspire much trust, haha). Sad to see a good thief leaving! Thieving as always been part of the game. Yes, it sucks to get a scroll stolen but.. eh! UO wouldn't be so thrilling without the risk. That said, let us know on how you decide to spread the wealth! Cullinarn had a fun idea of running around with holiday coins on him, maybe you could aim for the same. If I do not have the chance to be a part of this; I must say I wouldn't say no to a scroll donation for the casino I've been trying to fund (as I ain't no tamer either... yet?). Farewell!
Just make it so tamed animals do near zero damage in pvp. That would sort it out. Tamers have always been pvm anyway.
Why should tamers lose their right to defend themselves from shit talking gank squads? The game is fine as it is.
I have never found myself the guest of honor at one of these parties, but I am guessing the problem is is that when you use the gate click hotkey sometimes razor will pick the wrong gate. It is probably best to not click the gate hotkey if there is another gate close by or get far away from banks/stables before gating.
I did go back and re-read the part about the gates - i do see he said he helped a lot of other people that jumped gates. I suspect that he knew what he was getting into as he played a thief. I dunno - still - you only do that once and then you learn forever.
Tamers are fine. I also had run-ins with double and triple boxers like wyatt earp and Elvis, but other than those 2 instances, the rest of the people hunting would see you on the spawn and move on.
I have run MANY public scrolls in the past. While they are fun, they are easily griefed by thieves who will sit at your chest and loot the coins for themselves! Great idea, but I would suggest to open the gate in a private house and only allow those characters who you approve.
