This unfortunately results in another nerf for thieves. I cannot support this.
I fully understand it though :)

Less blessed items the better imo.

I'd just put it in a secure bag on door instead.

Out of interest do people actually carry house keys on them? And runes to their houses?

People do carry keys, keyrings, runes and nonblessed runebooks.

Sometimes they have them not locked down in their homes, sometimes in containers.

People make errors as well as not thinking, remembering, or of course, just 'dumb'.

looks neat, I wonder if its ability to store maps/mib's would be in alignment with CUB's objectives (reduce item count/save space/server health)

needs to be lootable though (contents), items like that lead to a slippery slope

Reward idea: This may have been brought up in the past, but I always liked layered sashes (i.e., sashes that could be worn on top of clothing that now occupies the same layer, like doublets) on Defiance, a while ago. Can have "sash layering deeds," etc

Compared to courtyards stacked with boxes covered by cloth. They are a vast improvement. Once we open the designs to player review we can discuss their aesthetic appeal in more detail. And things like the waterfalls will not be cheap. They will take a lot of work to purchase. Not just a year of hoarding quarterstaffs.

Multiple Trash Barrels are being worked on for houses already. Linked to this system as well. A carryable trash bag we would probably avoid unless I somehow took the time to code it to ignore a million valuable items someone might accidentally drag into it and expect the staff to replace.

Blessed keyrings might not pass the trammel smell test and might be out of place here. The players are welcome to discuss that however.

Mailbox - I think we would have to patch the add these. However we could allow players to craft a special container that acts as a mailbox allowing them to decorate their own setup and allow other players to drop items in it (1 way in, access level control of items out). (Of course this opens some trolling risk with people sending junk mail irl style)

Clothing options - Im sure we could come up with something there. These need to be long term items as well, or at best seasonal for the store.

Statues - A good idea, just need a statue that can do it, and be linked to # barrels. (The barrels themselves maintain the stats)

House Flags - These are already included and can be purchased with copper (See video in my first post). They can also be tagged with a guild name and dyed using a standard dye tub.

Ore Cart - This we already have used as a unique and can not use in other settings.

This is actually a clever idea.

Using the logic from the Bulk Order Book it would be possible to create a storage container for treasure maps that then allow you to withdraw the maps, sort by map information, etc. This would actually help a great deal with the item count as well as you could reduce 100 maps to a single item + small array of raw data.

Garden Shed - Probably best something players can create themselves. We could look at allowing them the tools to do so. We do also have plans for an updated gardening system down the road.

Town Crier - This is a great idea and I think a great deal of players would appreciate an in-home town crier. The trick is each place done would have to register with the town crier array so a bit of coding there to make it happen.

Music Box - We have the classic singing balls, but we could easily use the graphic for the music box as well. I think some public scripts exist for more functions for the box as well. A manually controlled way to play music would be interesting. Say coming home and having stones play automatically would be very appealing. Or having a theme song to your house that plays when anyone visits (on their end)

Lanterns with other properties (that do not affect pvp) would be interesting in the right context. Our initial test of something similar (the Wild Tamers mask) has been popular and fits well into our era.

    thanks

regarding house flags I failed to properly explain that I meant a unique pattern allocated to the CUB system (aka status symbol)

maybe when clicked it sounds a short trumpet audiofile

This has come up before, I would just need to see if our client support it. As layering clashes can cause client crashes. Some tinkering with fiddler and the code would be needed to see if it is valid.

Gotcha. The flags are only available from participation in the CuB system/Copper system. But that is always an option. Right now I have all of the available flags there. Another idea would be allowing players to use the anniversary colors/special hues based on participation. Our default assumption is however that people would like to take their 11 houses in a guild town, and assign 11 flags each with the guild colors.

I could also use this data to export to our interactive map.
