Need a true answer, getting different answers by multiple individuals.

Can you break all blessed clothing items? IE Sandals, Robes, Mask, Kilts, etc..

Or is it just a few items you can only break.

You can break all of them. It's just really unlikely that some pieces will break because of the way damage is distributed to the items a player has equipped, or more likely that some will take almost no damage.

Load a character up with unblessed basic items of the same type(ie. robe/kilt/sandals) and have another character beat on them with a mace for a few days to see the results. Blessed only stops stealing(top level pack) and returns said items to your pack on death.

I've taken part in trying to break a piece of clothing before. I want to say it was sandals. Regardless, whatever item it was (this was a very long time ago), that item did not break and we were all sad in the pants.

Sandals dont break. And even some clothes (forgot which) don't break.

In order to break they have to be on a armor slot that gets hit by weapons.

Cloaks, sashes, robes and footwear don't break.

Exactly. You can only be hit in the neck, arms, hands, legs, chest, head.

(This is why nobody in their right mind wears defensive robes and cloaks, because apart from making the wearer look like a sack of potatoes, they don't actually provide any extra armor. @Labeler :p )

I was also told that if you're wearing at least one piece of armor (ie: just a gorget) none of your clothing items will be damaged, at all, regardless of slot.

Can anyone confirm or deny that?

*If that is untrue... could they have meant; if you wear armor and clothing that take up the same slot (ie: fancy shirt & leather tunic) only the armor will take damage?

First bit is incorrect, see my battle hat here for proof - http://www.uorenaissance.com/player/99360

Second bit is how I understand it to work - The item with the highest AR in a slot takes the hits.

I never tried to break some because they would take 20 years of macroing on, but they should. If they do not, it's a UOR problem that, let's face it, will never be fixed. Suggest you get nude characer with sandals on and hit them to make sure.

How critical is it to UOR that sandals dont break? Also why does it need to be fixed ? Actually is UOR really broken because sandals dont break? Perhaps UOR was perfected to include sandals not breaking. Imagine how some players would react if @Chris "fixed" sandals so they would break... It would be end of the world for some sandal crazies... Players would actually quit which i find hilarious (not them quitting UOR but that players would actually quit over the issue).

I said "let's face it, will never be fixed", so it appears I agree with you that it's not critical.
