I'm starting on the hunt for a slayer weapon for my battle miner. The type of Slayer i'm after is Elemental Ban or Earth Shatter which drop off Abyss creatures: http://uorforum.com/threads/renaissance-guide-to-slayers.1601/ Balron Daemon Fire Gargoyle Gargoyle Ice Fiend Imp Semidar Stone Gargoyle Succubus Is it "possible" to find a +25 / Vanquishing / Earthshatter or Elemental Ban from an imp? or is there some background table applied to lower tier monsters to prevent them from dropping items with higher properties? Obviously farming imps is a lot safer and easier then farming Balron's but i probably would not waste my time on imps if there wasn't the possibility of finding an epic slayer weapon.
I’m sure it’s possible. But highly unlikely from lower level monsters. You may find a elemental ban. But for higher level ones I would assume you need to go after the bigger mobs. On a side note I have a few elemental Ban weapons I could get you started with that won’t break the bank. Shoot me a pm I have swords and Spears I believe.
So the formula would be something like? Balron = 5% chance of slayer weapon (random roll for accuracy / weapon damage) Imp = .5% chance for slayer weapon (random roll for accuracy / weapon damage) Does anyone know if roll on accuracy / weapon damage is the same for all tiers of monsters or do higher tier monsters give better accuracy / weapon modifiers? Does anyone here recall getting a noteable Slayer off a "low tier" monster?
No idea what the formula would but. But I believe it’s extreamly rare to get something good off a low level monster.
