as I laid eyes on house number 4 and wanted to take possession of him, but they answered me coldly and I concluded that this house would not be of any use for many years until his owners just remember to refresh him and in one perfect day reign a new scandal I have no right to give the owner, but I can say that this is a cold house...
I own 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 17, and 19. Not likely. I appreciate what you're trying to do, and fully support it, but I put a lot of effort into acquiring these spots, and every one of them is (or will soon be) public for folks to use. (The villa will be opening as a scroll vendor similar to what used to exist in Yew where new players will be buy the scrolls they are missing to be able to assemble their own spellbooks.) You can try to talk to JP about house #26. Iago owns #10. I think @Wil owns #25. I know some of the others, but I don't know if those folks want the info shared or not. Seriously man, good luck with this. The more life in Ocllo, the better. This is the face of the shard for new players when they start out, and any house you can unmothball would be fantastic.
Thanks @ReZon I've received a lot of PM's and I've got all but a few accounted for now. Bottom line, it's a hard no from everyone in regards to selling. I'll contact those dudes you've named there.
I haven't owned mine in over a year, but I'll send you a pm. 23 24 and 25... Whoever owns those, has had them for a long time I believe... Can't remember seeing anyone there, ever, in the 4+ years I've been here
The server in whole. I want to clarify that I am not pointing at any one person here. There is way too much refreshing for a friend from what I read. I don't want to derail what this guys trying to do here. Keep up the good work!
If you are serious about a new player guild maybe ask one of the owners In ocllo to rent you space for your new guild. If you show the community that this is a serious thing you will have no problems in finding a permenant Ocllo home to purchase.
I'm not upset one bit by anyone wanting to see improvements and activity in Ocllo, and if you've got ideas, I'll be glad to think it over and see what I can do. Also, I'm always on the lookout for help with New Player Housing, so if that's something anyone is interested in helping with, feel free to send me a message.
I honestly don't think new players need housing at all. I'd love to see a mentor program of sorts.. where new players can actually play with veterans or paid staff that can explain everything to them. The shard has been here 6 years and there a tons of things that new players would get completely lost in... New new players(never played UO) would benefit even more from a mentor that can teach them the game.
