If you are still building your PVE skills, my advice is to park a tamer at the start while you attempt to solo. Sure, you won't get ironman credit, but if you fail and are running out of time, the extra help can allow you to complete the event and still get the treasure (sans trophy). Once you are confident that you can solo, then you can leave the tamer at home. This has been a useful tactic for me as I learn the content.

I completed all of the amibs ironman on my first try, I think its more about the template you go with.
