Been thinking of adding poisoning to a character, for anyone that has this skill do you really find it useful ? Thanks in advance , South
Don’t do it. Any poison can be cured with any cure potion instantly. Deadly poison is cured from a looted or store bought cure potion. Don’t do it
Poison can be useful on a char for pvp. My preferred use is on a nox fencer. There is some misinformed information here so let me clear a few things up. GM poisoning and GM mage, does give you a chance to DP your enemy on casting, and it is distance based, however you can often greater poison your enemy at typical spell casting distances. Overall tho, a "nox mage" is extremely lackluster here. In pvp, the use of poison is not primarily to damage you opponent with poison... yes you can use cure pots rather quickly. This is why going out with 1 poisoned wep is almost useless. If you have poisoning, and a few deadly poison pots, you can run just about anyone dry of cure potions. The point of poison in pvp, is to break heals, or force drop of a held spell. Also a store bought cure cannot efficiently cure deadly poison. I do not know 100% that it can't, but I do know that I have run thru 10+ without successful cure. I do believe a greater cure potion has about a 70% chance to cure a deadly poison. Again as a nox dexxer, you will likely run your enemy dry of cure potions quite quickly while still having many poison charges left. Now onto pvm, its main use is two fold. Added damage overtime, and to also poison lock magic casting enemies. This is also still referring to a poison dexxer, as still a nox mage is very lackluster here. If a magic casting creature is poisoned, it will only try to cure itself, until cured. Best way to discover if is a good idea is doing one and testing for a few days... A suggestion: you don't need to GM poisoning to try how you feels about. Raise until 40 and go to the fields using lesser poison.. in my tank i droped mage to 60 just to test and the 40 of poisoning is still there... since ages. I can pvm using blade spirits tanking the mobs and with the continuous poison i mess with the mages. In pvp, a little of magery helps a lot to survive at the dumps and the poison piss of the opponent.
I have a nox fencer for PvP. It’s a useless template, personally speaking as there’s no cool down on cures. I carry 40 GPs and poison on the go. If you’re good at PvP you just let the poison go until your bandage timer is about up, hit cure potion and you’re back to full health.
Maybe you need to learn how to play it better, I love mine! Thats why you use DP, and thats for a boring dexxer only vs dexxer only fight I guess? If you let poison tick for a 10-15 second bandage roll, you are likely done for.... I can teach you how to effectively play a noxxer sometime if you'd like
Do you realize that 85% of this server plays a running healer/stun mage? Same idea as a dexxer pal. Great work though pal, your name as a dexxer sparks fear in the mages of this server
@Cameron are you backing down? @Arawn I stopped dropping my poisoning at 70. Currently grinding pots to get to 100. Fuck it. It's just gold. Ill be bored in two months anyway and bank all my shit and take another year off. Maybe when I come back next time archery will have runics and wyverns will be tamable.

Two good dexxers fight until someone runs out of potions or bandaids on this server because poisoning is useless.
