Rangvald sighed, pulled out his pipe and slowly packed it for the unknowth time that day. It had been 3 days since his planned rendevous with Marshall Theia, 3 days of waiting in Occlo at The Albatross seaside bar. The smell of old fish, bar food and sweaty sailors was starting to get to him. He pulled a match and lit it against the bar, leaned back and observed the room, thinking to his last conversation with Marshall Theia. She had mentioned a fugitive she was searching for, some mage whose name he couldn't recall, suspected of cult worship and other nefarious acts. Something about following his trail to Occlo and it growing cold. Had she mentioned wanting to explore the ruins underneath the city? Rangvald grimaced, and then took another pull on his pipe. If she went down there he could easily see how she could be lost... It was time to go searching.. The Naturalist are starting up regular dungeon crawls!!! Join us on our adventures!!!! We will be hosting our first dungeon crawl this friday at 10 pm EST, 7pm PST. We are working to include a multi dungeon run story line for this quest and prizes(fitting the naturalist theme). Amazing, Bravo!. Got a friends surprise B-day dinner but if I'm home I am certainly game! Out of curiosity, how powerful are our cast of characters? I assume given that our first target is Occelo this will be friendly to new characters -- I might start one just for this cause!
Occlo was definaetly picked for the first dungeon crawl to make it new character friendly. Personally, I have about 75 swords, 60 anatomy, 55 magery, 50 tactics, 50 provocation, 40 healing, 35 music, 30 camping, 30 eval int, 20 cooking. I think most people are somewhere around there or lower. The support skills are definitely slow to raise ( taming, provo, magery, discord, music, etc) and the dexx skills go up much quicker. We have alot of multi skilled dexxers. dexxer bard is the most common. We have one or two tamers, and i beleive i am the only person going for magery right now. Definately take into account how slow or fast skills raise without macroing. I beleive discord will naturally raise quicker than provocation for example (i am not 100% sure on this honestly)
Excellent, I will start a ranger / mage to add some support in that area and tracking for fun. I expect to be extra squishy for a while. Also thinking it would be fun to only add spells to my spell book if I find them on monsters or in treasure chests!
We have found Marshall Theia!!! As we searched the dungeon, some of her log books were found scattered and burned. There are hints of the occult at work here... I will continue my research with Marshall Theia to see what we can discover of this and will update those interested as we learn more. If you guys have any more knowledge of what might be happening under Occlo, please let us know.
Does this mean that there are more books out there? Had a great time even got murdered along the way. Just the way UO should be.
