    Awesome,

But we still need to wait for this IDs to be implemented server side, right?

I mean if I go into btcastle (44 btcastle) I do not receive the packet with that ID from server yet. Otherwise it should play with 5.0.8.3 OSI client. If that works in the same way...

A large number of them work today and line up with UO:R. As you pointed out, some of them aren't implemented on UOR and are part of client expansions that UOR doesn't support.

This, however, gives Telamon the power to expand music by defining new regions.

    Hi @Quick

For some reason the classic client now freezes without fail every time I open it. A few weeks ago I performed an update on it via the launcher (was prompted to as there was a new version), it worked fine for a couple of days and then all of a sudden it kept freezing just before reaching the login screen (razor opens fine).

I uninstalled the launcher and deleted the path in explorer (I couldn't see a direct way of uninstalling the path) and reinstalled. The same thing - works for a couple of days and just freezes right before getting to the login screen but razor opens fine.

Any suggestions? Is there a way to uninstall everything rather than just deleting the path manually?

Lastly, not sure if this is related but, upon performing the update, the developer preview would always show even if I unchecked it.

    Thanks for your help.

Wondering if there's some sort of log that is generated when the client potentially crashes. I haven't seen it send me any message, but for some reason, if I have a client open and connected, and I am basically idle, I come back to my PC and the client has closed on itself.

Note: i have all power options disabled on my PC so it never goes to sleep or hibernate. Not even a screen-locking screensaver, etc. I can have my browser open, C:UOR client open, then I close my laptop lid and walk away. The laptop never goes to "sleep", but when I come back to it, my UO client is closed out completely and my browser is still running.

Just wondering if this is logged somewhere to see why it closed.

    Thanks!

I play on a laptop as well. I have found that if I close the lid, it basically forces it to sleep, which lost connection.

Try leaving the lid open, just as a test. What I ended up doing was turning sleep off, and then have the screen shut off after however long idle, but with the lid open.

    Hi there.
I can't believe the work you've done with this client, it's just amazing! Thanks!

I have 2 issues, probably this isn't the place for the second one although I think it's related to CUO:
    1) The first character I created was without issue, but from the second onwards I'm not shown the "map" where you pick the starting city. I have to reopen the client and choose my skills and stats again (character wasn't created) and still won't let me choose the city but if I double-leftclick anywhere it will create my char in Britain and then I can play without issue
    2) I can't make UOAM to track my player. I alredy pointed the files folder to the UOR and recognized the map files, but I still can't make it track neither of my chars.

I appreciate any help you can give me, specially with the second one as the first one is just a minor thing to be honest

Having the old client running in the background then "calibrate" UOAM with a sextant?
The problem is that in my setup the old client is sharing the same data file as CUO so I can't run both in parrallel.

    Good to know!

I'll give it a try and come back if I had any issues.

    Thanks!

Look in the main folder, you should hopefully see some crash logs. What are they saying?

Can't see a crash log in the main folder. What's the file name so i can search in the main and sub folders? Thanks

You should have a "Logs" folder withtin ClassicUO. Each filename has the date and hour of the crash

Thanks bud, but there isn't a logs folder in the directory :( I tried searching for 'logs' in the directory via explorer and nothing either.

I've reinstalled a couple of times and keep getting it. Actually thinking about doing a clean install of windows now.

That's weird. You may try setting the properties of the shortcut in compatibility mode with Win Vista SP2 or try others and/or run as admin.

I'm just guessing here, I didn't have any crashes.

Thanks for the advice @Legholaz ... one of my guildies may have pointed me in the right direction. I didn't name the directory 'Classic UO' (contrary to Quick's guide) before installing and called it something random so that might be why there is no logs folder. I'm going to reinstall, will post here if I have any more issues.

Well on second inspection I did actually call it 'UORenaissance' which is the default folder via the launcher install anyway.... so I really don't know. I also have the old client installed in a separate directory so I don't know if that's causing problems.

Also, I religiously install and run everything under admin so I'm pretty sure this isn't a problem. I've uninstalled and will reinstall again and apply Vista SP2 under compatibility and let you know.

Ok so I reinstalled, set compability mode to Vista SP2, run in administrator mode. CUO was running fine last night but tried this morning and the launcher just closes when I click enter britannia. Nothing loads.

Again, no logs folder in the directory.

I have been struggling with what seems to be the same issues.

On a fresh computer re-boot the client seems to run fine, but after some time (hours to a day or so) the client will stop responding but not crash. After this the client will seemingly do nothing when launched from the UOR launcher, but in fact will attempt to launch after a few minutes (up to 10 minutes). The client then loops, not responding for about a minute, comes back to life for 5 seconds then dives back into a frozen state. The client then remains in this loop until a full computer reboot.

Odd side note is that once this issue starts the OSI client exhibits the same behavior.

    System:

    Windows 10 Pro - 1903
    9900k - 64GB Ram- GTX1070

    Attempts to resolve:

    Reinstall - No effect
    Clean reinstall - No effect
Compatibility modes / Admin privs - No effect
Disabling of Windows 10 application "Suspend" feature - No effect
(This computer has no sleep or hibernate options enabled)

Currently I am testing disabling Windows game overlay and Nvidia's game overlay / screen capture options. I know Nvidia's game capture has caused issues with application stability in the past. So far so good but I wont know if this has been the cause until enough time has passed.

I will update you with my results and I am open to any other suggestions.
