Hi, played some pre trammel, but never had a house then.
So theres a few things im unsure of, i did read the guides, but still have a few questions.

1)if the stuff in your house is locked down, in a locked down bag, or in a secure bag, how can it be stolen?
is the stolen stuff, things you didnt lock down?

    2) if all your stuff is locked down, the ony threat is being killed/looted? or losing stuff while locking/ unlocking?

i just dont fully get it.

    Thanks

Items in a regular locked down bag can be stolen. Individual locked down items and items in a secure bag are the only items that can't be stolen.

Inside houses you have a few ways to secure or lockdown things:

    1. Lockdown items (not containers) which become fixed and wont be stolen. For example, locking bandages to the ground, they can't get stolen in any amount.

    2. Regarding containers:
    a. Lockdown a container > It will hold a max of 125 items but no weight limits. Items inside lockdowns containers can be stolen by anyone thats within reach of it. You can use keys (they come with containers once you craft them) but they can get picked with GM lockpicking easily
    b. Secure a containers > They will hold a max of 125 items OR 400 stones > You can set their level of access for Owners, Coowners or Friends. No one else beside them will be able to access that container, so items inside of them will be safe to strangers.

Houses come with a limited amount of lockdowns and secures containers which you can expand through the platinum rewards system. (extra 25 lockdowns or an extra secure containers cost 50 platinum)

So, you have to be careful when locking downs containers. A good way is to put your valuables behind seconds doors (you can have individual keys for inners doors) or behind barriers. This will provide a second layer of security.

losing your key to someone is just a security risk, they dont get access to the house menu or secures?

Correct, you still own the house. It's not like OG UO where the house key was your sign of ownership.

You can lock down your key in the doorway, though. You should never have to carry your key on you

On a keyring otherwise you'll need to pick it up to use it. Same goes for if it's inside a secure container locked down in your doorway. (I personally like this as it's a good way to pass things into the house without opening the door)
