It came as it must had: I forgot to close my front doors on the britain moongate houses. Too much i went in and out at this very public location while farming and skilling chars It went fine one or two times after i noticed it some hours later. Im pissed off - and know its my own fault - so im pissed off more maybe. I fear this is also the end of my vendors at the small tower at brit moongate which i ever tried to fill with interessting weapon stuff. Last hope maybe anybody noble looted preventive to give back the stuff or at least for a honorable reward like part of the loot - or platinum i own from the some months i lived here now. If not i fear to start from beginning here - my plans are destroyed. I wonder who else was ever so newb like me
We've all been there, sometimes more than once. Once you rebuild your fortunes, it'll be like it never happened. Always lock the door and always Detect Hidden afterward. It is known. Good luck and lemme know if there's anything I can do to help you recover, other than giving you a bunch of valuable stuff.
It's not like you're starting from the beginning. You have a decent vendor spot that people know about and established characters. Bouncing back is easy. Gold is abundant on this shard
That sucks! Keep telling yourself just pixels... just pixels... If you can just go in the front doors and access non secure containers without removing a barrier your asking for trouble. I have macros setup so when I hit my hot key it does detect then ban gray which I always do prior to removing my barrier. I have another setup for unlocking and locking down a table. Small forges don't take up lock downs so their handy to make barriers with. Even when I've had small houses I've used a barrier. Most that stealth in will rehide as soon as you reveal so having one hot key to reveal and ban them is a good idea. If your moving a lot of pixels from house to house I run another account looping a macro - detect hidden and banning.
Sorry to hear about the loss. Hopefully you're able to pick up the pieces and continue on. That first sting of felucca is always the worst. If you do, just remember that your bank box is the most secure location on the shard. Its more secure than a secure container that is behind a table wall that is itself behind a locked door which is only accessible from a secure courtyard for which the only rune is in a blessed runebook. Platinum and bank checks should never leave your bank box for any reason.
Sorry about your luck. I'm sure you will recover quite quickly if you try. I'm sure a lot of us can show you some nifty house security setups so that you will never be robbed from again if you'd like. Also, you might find that rebuilding is sometimes the best part of UO. Once you have everything UO can loose a bit of luster.
Sorry to hear about this Anarchy! I hate to see anyone go so I want to encourage you to keep on going! You still have the house. If you lost weapons you were selling I could donate some to help get you started.
You could let me place a vendor there to keep traffic coming to the house until you are back in full operation
Well, a last appeal to the finder of my unlocked house: The most important for me is my collection of slayer weapons. It are maybe about 100 or more - mostly lower end silver but also a lot of nice other slayers. I collected them to get my vendor filled. My vendor is more like a hobby. The used time for it in farming would be more profit - like most vendors i think here. Deer finder: Keep all other stuff but please lets make a deal about the slayers. I invested all my money in them and still done so - so my bank balance is not too high - but i have also some platinum. Thanks all for your messages here. Im really demotivated atm. The only of real worth for me is my slayer collection which i wanted to give back in form of a good filled slayer vendor to the community. I know my time here ever searched very long times for "this nice slayer" so i wanted to make a central shop for it - everytime looked for this nice cheap in other shops to keep my shop filled. Currently my vendor is still good filled - but time will come im sure the nice slayers are sold. My biggest problem - and a lot of time i spent here - is to get the collection back for cheap prices a selling in my vendors is profitable (for prices i think they are worth) @Ervin I keep my vendors specialised and well sorted. If you are interessted in a vendor spot you could PM me with details and we will see if your vendor would fit it my vendor house concept.
I'll throw out an extra bone here. If said culprit would like to remain anonymous and return said items then contact me via PM and I will accept transaction of stolen property and return to Anarchy in full so that your identity remains undisclosed. It's never too late to do the right thing™
And its never to late to get some hundred k of gold from me for your afforts to store my slayer weapons. Like i said before: Keep all other stuff. The most personal worth for me is my hard collected slayer collection for refill my shop or/and using self if i wanted to hunt this or that. I would pay you for temporary store of my stuff and rescued it from other evil house looters with 1) keep all other stuff 2) a nice amound of gold I still know it was mainly my fault. And i know whoever looted my house: If he would not have done it another one would have.
Do you really believe begging on an online forum will get you your stuff back? Look I am sorry it happened, learn and live on.
Learn from your mistakes and bounce back from them. Put that hundred k or so into a bigger house and work on your barricades.
What!? I looted that house! Thanks Anarchy, but I will of course not sell anything back to you, it wouldn't be according to the rules. You must learn from your foolish sideslip and walk through the dark valley of Felucca! Only then your purification will be complete. You gotta walk it for yourself.
LoL you were Pfniffel'd Anarchy that's almost an honor to be looted by one of the best... will we see a comic strip of the caper? You need a certain tuffness and thick skin to make it in Feluccia.
I lost a whole Fortress To believing the timeline for idoc instead of having it refreshed by a friend... So I know the feeling... I am now rebuilding. Pixels will go on. It can be cathartic if you can be positive about it. Mechanics: They suck, but hey, at least you didn't lose your account or your placement on your house..
