Anyone here from UO:Hybrid of olden days? Excited to find this oasis of ultima. Thinking of investing some time into this.
no hybrid players I know of are here. the server is amazing though, closest to osi ren era you will find. faction scene has its ups and downs, mainly downs lately lol but there are definitely fights to be had outside of factions. I think you will enjoy it man let me know if you need help starting out.
I played UO Hybrid for years and then forgot to refresh and quit, then moved to UOSecondAge and switched to here as soon as this server opened up because, again, I forgot to refresh lol If you need any help starting out let me know, I can toss you some reagents or whatever. The new player system is actually pretty awesome and you can make millions before ever leaving occlo if you min/max
Defiance was my main server but I used to have an account on Hybrid a loooooooooooong time ago. I logged in to Hybrid years after creating my account and I had a ton of vet reward points stored up which I redeemed for like 10 blaze ethereal swamp dragons.
That's the kind of character I am currently making, here's my template if you're interested: Fencing 100 Anatomy 100 Tactics 100 Archery 100 Resisting Spells 100 Healing 100 Poisoning 100 I'd recommend using Parrying in place of Archery or Poisoning until you get a little gold saved up. The Poisoning skilling looks like this I believe: Poisoning 0-30: Train from npc (thief guildmaster) 30-45: Lesser poison 45-65: Poison 65-100: Greater poison 90-100: Deadly poison For poisoning... Starting at 90 for DP will waste a TON of NS. You can actually GM on GP. But I wouldn't even consider DP until 97-98 if you wanted to go that route.(Gharik) You can buy Lesser Poison from NPCs but then you will need to find someone to sell you Regular, Greater, and Deadly Poison kegs to continue.
I probably wouldn't put poisoning on the archer. For nox dexxer I would run fencing/tact/anat/heal/resist/magery/poison Archer I would probably just run as a tank mage anat/archery/tactics/eval/mage/med/resist

No I don't play on Hybrid. I used to play on SA, but I was referring to this shard... Since this is a forum for this shard and all. XD
Played Hybrid around 2007, Second Age around 2013-2014 which is where I was at when Garriott made the rounds to promote his disaster Shroud of the Avatar. Played various other shards over the years, some of which I've forgotten the names. Purely Primitive comes to mind. Out of all the shards I've played, UO Renaissance is definitely my favorite and I wish I had come here to begin with.
