Just got ganged up on by about 6 dudes with about 6 dragons/white wyrms against the 2 of us. Whatever, have fun, but was it necessary to rezz kill me at least 10 times then kill the wandering healer? Pretty sad what people find fun these days. With the amount of cool stuff this server has to offer, its pretty damn pathetic that a group this powerful would feel the need to repeatedly kill 2 people. Names I remember. Drinian Blindcide Saltminer Jetfuel Mrs Someone else Merry Christmas Douchebags, hopefully this small dopamine fix you got this morning gets your through the holidays... -Fred
Yes, we are all adults here, so only shameless idiots can commit such immoral and pathetic acts. I hope you are okay and have gone through these low-level behavior provocations with a smile. Most of the guys and girls here are normal people and worthy citizens of Sosaria! Good luck and have fun! https://discord.gg/uor
Of course, yes, it's nothing to do with being mean. This dude decides to leave out the fact that he was trying to contest a house drop. Typical. To help this new player understand I'll explain how that works: there are other people that also show up to idocs to take loot. Groups will work together to track them and then take the goods. Some idocs go unnoticed, but usually you are going to face opposition to various degrees depending on what where and when. A little advice for the OP: instead of coming here and acting like a spoiled child, maybe suck it up and realize that a) you're playing on a felucca server where peeps can and will attack you for various reasons, and b) instead of pretending you were a random victim to some brutal assault, figure out how to play the game. Now, on a positive note, lucky for the OP, there are a handful of peeps here that will reach out to you and try to get you to join forces against "the big mean bullies" of the server. Based on your OP, I think you will fit in REALLY well there. So by all means, grab that box of tissue and saddle up.
There is a lot of truth in this thread, but the closer to the shore the higher the wave, and this is not good ... Time to stop and not test the water for salt. it seemed, but I got out. Merry Christmas! heh
Yes. At an IDOC I would of happily made a corpse carpet till the hoovering was finished. Outside of an idoc? I wouldn’t do that’s a (diabolically) dickish move.
Those would be MID members. Aka OCD, CD, FL/PVM among other brands/rebrands. Beware, friendly while solo so you won’t mess with them while THEY enjoy their gameplay … then devious in a pack while they destroy YOUR gameplay. Sorry this happened to you. It’s not right. If you choose to stay here (I hope you do) you’ll quickly ascertain when it’s time to bail and develop a method to quickly extract yourself ie a macro that recalls to a safe place on a button you can either keybind or make a screen button to press. I’d be happy to help you set this up. Recently our server lost the group that was consistently putting these guys in their place to another server. Since then we’ve been dealing with a fair bit of targeting and new players leaving because of these types of displayed behaviors. It’s really unfortunate but we’re hopeful it will improve.
Lol at you douchebags trying to justify the Rez killing cause it was at an idoc. Yes it was following an idoc and this was several minutes after everything was gone. There was at least 6 people there and all the stuff was gone in the manner of a few minutes. the Rez killings were at least 1 screen away and I was not even trying to get back to the stuff. Nor did I even have a chance to as I was killed immediately at least 7-10 times. killing the wandering healer was an extra level of douchebaggery, I just hope the little bump of dopamine from killing me a bunch of times got them through Christmas without too much pain.
It means that everything is fine and the guys were knowingly kaominul idoc, this situation turns out to be an ordinary hunt for pixels and they just removed the competitors! Therefore, this measure does not mean mockery or bad taste, it is a common thirst for meat and whoever has the larger flock dominates. Nature. Well done guys who guessed about idoc. I have nothing to do with idoc and play solo 90% of the time, so this option did not come to my mind. Applause. You were removed by your competitors, nothing personal! Keep spinning and having fun, ah holy Ultima! In this context, if I were part of one of the idoc groups, the first thing I would do would be to kill the wandering healer! hoho
@Fred - I hear you. The thing is - at an IDOC - anybody who’s not part of your crew HAS to be removed from the situation because if you don’t remove them they can place a house and chief the spot that you and your crew have spent a week meticulously getting a timer and defending from other crews, to predict (if your good) the exact second that spots dropping. They put in the work and organised themselves to be there in numbers to stop ANYBODY getting near it. House deeds are blessed and there’s nothing to stop you running back on screen in your deathrobes with a cursor up, dropping a blocker or house on the spot & ruining their day (which is always hilariously satisfying) That’s what these guys are preventing you from potentially doing. Nothing else. Get a crew together or join one and fuck their shit up. I’d also recommend searching for their recall or static timer bots if you wanted to exact some classic UOREVENGE.
We should start the discussion in this thread on how the current idoc situation is unfair. Haven't had one of those for a while and trash talk has been boring.
*Cynic enters the chat* Rez killing at an idoc is fair, and to be expected as fuck. idoc situation is only unfair if your crew sucks. if you don't have a crew, you suck. long live uor.
Bro, you are simulating some kind of indignation to call the attention about the fact that a single group is putting all the IDOC wealth in their pockets with not even a single contestation? or you are really but hurt about being resskilled after a idoc? if is the second option i think you are just over reacting coming here to the forums to complain about it.
“ @Fred ” you’ve just met some of the nerdiest grown men, with too much time on their hands, this game has to offer… IDOC’ers. Getting too close to them while IDOC’ing is like threatening to take crack away from a crackhead… they need their fix and they will kill you to get it.
Eh, what makes a UO player a member if the "nerdiest men" club is subjective. With the time and effort that goes into the idoc scene, it's not unreasonable that the goal is to keep other potential looters (or placers as Earsnot described) away from the drop. Killing the healer was to prevent you from resing and running right back to the idoc, which is exactly what you were doing.
Have never idoc'd before and I would 100% expect the experience you had and wouldn't even be mad. Sounds pretty standard for something that's pretty high risk/high reward.
