This is a call to action for the elite players out there who own multiple Fort Blockers. You claim to want to sell them to remove the salt or black eyes on this shard yet you then attempt to sell them for inflated prices. If you truly cared about this shard then I implore you to donate them to a player event. Like a @Zyler, @Vincent Blackshadow or whatever event you chose. Maybe give it right to Telemod for a big shard event. Or list them with an SB of deed price so people that donate to these events can buy them at a normal price. The message is if you own a Fort Blocker let's band together in this post to make a memorable event, don't hold on to the salt/black eyes. Since you care about this shard so much would you like to see a Fort Fishing Tournament or something similar? I am not calling out anyone by name, you know who you are. As such this shouldn't be moved to Trash Talk. However, I suspect it will be as the Mods continually cater the elite players possibly due to friendship and favoritism. A move of this thread will merely confirm that. Lastly before I get flamed (which as you all know I don't care if I do), this is not a self serving post. I don't want a fort never have. I've been playing a while and I am fine with my housing, I have 5 houses on 3 accounts. You also know me, I don't participate in any events player or developer run. So there it is, if you have a fort blocker post here with location and let's see if we can group them all together for a massive event. Let's collaborate.
Housing is cheap compared to how OSI was, seems like everyone has a large tower. I don't mind saving 30 or 40 million for a fort. I would however like to see more listings on the forums for houses in prime locations. Would be nice to have less empty houses, maybe one day UO will have a renaissance when 80s kids start retiring.
TLDR: People who by their own labor or foresight have properties I don't-- I implore you give those things away for free or else you are selfish. How about you buy them and then you donate them to the shard? Is that reasonable Comrade?
I could chose to place Fort Blockers and sell them for my own personal gain but I don't. It's not hard to do and by no means require any labor. If I had the gold I gladly would buy them and donate. I have given plenty of normal houses (and two towers) away. As well as misc things away. Unfortunately, I don't have the gold because I own my own businesses in real life so I don't have much time to play. I choose instead to spend the limited time I have helping guildmates or random players. Spending the majority of the time taming bulls so someone else can GM Taming in the TnT Bull Factory. I find that most enjoyable I don't need 15 forts, millions in gold and a mountain of worthless platinum to feel good about my life.
How does a certain player who supposedly already has several forts have a thread selling a bunch of house blockers well over the 15 house limit.. hmmmm....
Addendum to this. I will gladly buy all the Fort Blockers for deed price (that apparently hard earned 50K to place a house) and I will drop them, place a Fort and give it to Zyler and Vincent for a crazy hybrid fishing/hunting event. I have enough gold for that.
