Just FYI, you probably already know this though...

You can mark runes to any part of that ladder in the CY.

This allows you to pretty much recall to the top of your ladder and the first step to your roof.

Ya cynic thanks for the tip. Something similar to that is what I have planned next. I want to make a recall pad onto one of the other roofs, using a middle table with runner as my recall point instead of using a ladder. Then I want to put 3 lockdowns on the adjacent tiles to block someone running from my recall pad into CY. That way i would have a single recall point that sends me to the edge of a roof. We will see!

If you mark the rune on the ladder and then remove the ladder, do you fall to the ground with a thud and take damage when recalling in?

I would imagine you would, but I dont want to remove the ladder haha. 25 plat down the drain. now you could for sure put a middle table w/ runner down on the ladder, chop the ladder, and just recall to your table.
Also I take dmg just running down the cy ladder. Its a steep incline.

Would it be possible to get that table bridge level with the window overflow on the second floor so that you could just run right into the window?

you could certainly get the bridge to run with window, just using cy lockdowns to get there. I dont know if you can go through the window though. I could test it from the inside. If you can go out the window you can probably go in.

Update, As hard as I tried i could NOT get out that darn second story window. You could go from the bridge to the roof undoubtedly.(and recall onto any point of the bridge that passed over the cy) It would only cost 125 platinum as well.

There's no way, without GM intervention, to even try to get out the window. We can't put items on that "lip" tile, as far as I know.

I think the item you'd try would be a foot stool, since IIRC it only has 1z in height (most other surfaces like Tables and Table Runners are like 6z high, which essentially shrinks the window by 6z). I believe players are 16z high, and need to have that clearance to fit through.

For reference, the lip area in the entryway of a fort has ridges of 4z in height. The 1st floor itself is 20z, so if you put a 1z stool on top, you'd only have 15z clearance to squeeze your 16z char through.

    O_O

    *hums stairway to heaven(trammel?)*

Are you building a ladder to Trammel? (Trammel and Felucca are the two moons of Sosaria)

Soooooo technically if you built a big enough structure you could get to trammel.

Well, I thought I would also share my recent bridge and ladder adventures. That bridge is fully functional for crossing from one large tower to the other.
A shout out to Russel for his helpful tips and pointers.

If you have a lot of Oak, you could make an entire floor up there....the tables stack side by side. You can go up until a z-axis height of 127...I believe. Just use the Razor Command "-where" without the quotes and it'll give you x,y,z coordinates.

Yup, footstools are the true supports. That's why I ended up putting the lanterns down, mainly to help hide the footstools which I could not lower without breaking the functionality of the bridge.

Well I did spend a lot of time playing with it. It was not easy to get those quarter staffs to line up as railing for the barrel staves. Not to mention it collapsing a few times during the process. I'm sure I'll try a few more things at some point and I'll make sure to post if I come up with anything interesting.
