Was going to put this in the Guide section, but I don't know nearly enough to make an initial post yet. So figured I'd whip this up and try to crowdsource some ideas and info. Add anything you can below, and I'll update the original post.

    Scoring
As far as I can tell, both "Points" and "Kills" are tracked. My guesses as to what these mean mechanically are:
kills - numerical count of the monsters you killed. Player-name zombies not included.
points - each monster has a point value and whoever is the single highest damager on the monster gets the points when and if that monster dies

    Bosses
Royal Mummy - drops bandages when hit? When he dies he poisons everyone in the area, and can also poison on hit when he's alive. Has a big stack of bandages on him when he dies. 1 Holiday Coin to all major damagers when he dies.
Vampire Lord - can regnerate to full health if some of his mistresses are still alive. Kill them first to avoid this annoying thing. Sometimes when you hit him (or he hits you?) you get knocked off the top of the bank roof. 2 Holiday coins to all major damagers when he dies.
Necromancer - summons Undead Dragon when struck. Both he and the undead dragon give 3 holiday coins to major damagers when they die.
Balam - has two Acolytes with him. All three are immobile. Summons bad guys (rotting corpses?) when struck, if Acolytes are alive. 1 Holiday coin to major damagers of Acolytes when they die. 5 coins to major damagers of Balam. He drops dark-hued plate and bone pieces on his corpse, and the highest damager will get a 10-point "Bane of the Undead Hordes" trophy in their pack if they are near him when he dies. (If not, it goes to his corpse).
Black Knight - has an Earthquake attack that deals 20% of your remaining health in damage to all in EQ range. Drops 6 coins to each major damager?

Secret Areas - these open up when each boss is killed. How and where, I am not exactly sure.

Escaping - not sure how to "escape" the event area either.

Orange light sources - candles, candleabras, lanterns, etc. Seems to be one of each per event instance, hidden in containers around the area.

Silver weapons - seem to be found in the top level of the corpses of random monsters (NOT the monster loot bag/backpack/crate/keg). These are pre-identified and as far as I can tell they never have any tactics or damage modifiers. It is probably a good idea to spend the majority of your time looking for one of these, since they greatly help your chances of getting boss monster coins and points, and generally the winner of the event is one of the first two or three people to find a silver weapon they can use.

LOL! Escaping is not something you're supposed to do, that was awarded to snap last year because she managed to find a bug.

Vlar, for some reason I thought there were a bunch of "survivor" trophies around, but in hindsight it doesn't look like it. I do think I remember Chris saying that escape was a possible objective last year, before the event began. But figures it would only be snap/matron who figured out how. I know I spent my first runthrough trying to escape and couldn't figure it out.

I highly suggest if your playing a mage during the opening gambit loot scrolls with dark green ribbons/tassels, Almost all scrolls with these tassels are worthwhile spells (heal/Fireball/Lightning/Greater heal/Energy bolt). Heck just those 5 in your book and finding a cure/arch cure scroll should give you a serviceable set of spells without driving you nuts looting every scroll you run across.

I have every scroll known to Sosaria set to my 'rummage' command.

Vlar is correct, Snapdragon managed to escape the confines of the event and was chilling at the east britain bank. She was awarded a statue to commemorate her accomplishment,.

Rumor has it that the pre-identified silver weapons are always in the top level of a monster corpse, NOT the "monster loot" bag/crate/backpack.
