I've said it a million times, slayers need tweaking.
So now I'm forced into taming so I can farm without worrying about a thing. OMG BOND SLOTS!

Sad, but true that taming is not only easy-mode PVM, it's almost the only option for end-game content. Sorry to see a fellow dexxer change sides.

Maybe some content will come along in the future that makes melee a viable option or adds extremely tamer unfriendly end-game content.

No, I still have most of my really nice slayers, I just don't want to risk losing them seeing as I've never even seen their equals when looking for secondary's to keep as replacements.

I've farmed my ass off at Lich Lords looking for almost ANYTHING repond.. nada.

Finding slayers is awful, especially any non-swords slayer. Damn swords take up like half the weapon drop pool. Oh well I still have my +25 vanq orc slaying pickaxe to fall back on.

So did you go the dex-tamer route? . . . I sincerely hope you did since you inspired me to revisit it and I think I'll stick it out this time.

I bet he went full bard and has discordance, heck even I'm training up a new tamer for that after playing with discord on my bard and archer for a while now. Discord is the shit, watching 2 dragons and a mare tear down a blood elem in 10 seconds is awesome.

Yeah, there's a dirty sort of satisfaction that comes from that level of easy-mode. . . I'm pretty sure I can still make more money faster with my provo tamer but it's ever so slightly more stressful. Interestingly, though, I recently came by some daemon and balron slayers for my dex tamer and I haven't fully tested (because it's a pain to get around) but that's some rediculous damage output. . . For those of you that are going to multi-client everything anyway that might be the quickest way to your fortune.

I was thinking dex tamer.. but I'm leaning towards disco.. seriously.

As someone that is pro dexxer I had made this character awhile back, ran with it for a hot minute and decided to just play my lumberjack, yeah I can't farm the big shit but I'll stick to my medium spawn till things turn north!

The usual template is Taming, Lore, Vet, Magery, Med, Music, and Disco. Some people are proponents of dropping meditation for provo. Being the not-so-terribly-proud owner of a disco tamer I can honestly say that's great option after seeing how little I need meditation. I didn't go with that template because I already had a provo tamer.

Edit: I guess Gideon beat me to the punch but his statements are true enough to restate. . .

As much as I love play my Peace dexxer ( Created him after reading your guide) . It really sucks loosing a weapon that costs 5x as much as a decent dragon. Can't argue with your choice and agree that slayers need to drop more.
