hi, is there a tamer out there that know the fastest way to train magery on a mare? i know mare vs mare is an option (but quite risky in my opinion) something else? thanks
I would say trap it in your house and get another pet with a lot of HP and no magery, drake maybe and trap it across the room.I think magery has more range than breath weapons.Just heal the drake.
shadow iron elementals. They take no damage from spells -- do exactly as lud described, except you'll never have to heal it. If you add in a macro of placing a stone oven to break line of sight periodically as well, it will optimize gains. More mana regen will give the pets more opportunities for high level casting.
After it gets to 65 imagery you can trap it and force it to dispel blade spirits if you wish this will take it to about 92 magery fast
i did shadow elementals all the way like Corruption said First i took a gargoyle pickaxe to a dull copper node and brought up a shadow ele, kited it back to a house i had placed. Once inside i peacemaked it and surrounded it with chests and locked them down. Then i set up another 8 chests to surround a tile farther away and locked them down and gated my pets into that square. I stood my character inbetween them and spammed all guard me and then all kill and targetting the shadow ele twice a minute or so while dropped a stone oven and breaking it with an axe (via razor macro of course) I did this for several days until my pets looked like this http://www.uorenaissance.com/pets/195993 and I got bored with it. My intention was to then stand under them and cast meteor swarm with 2-3 characters on a different level of the house to work resist, but I never got around to it. As long as you're saying all guard me enough they shouldn't go wild. (since accepted commands increase loyalty and all guard me is easy for a pet to accept.) Also even though I had this running well for days there was a moment one day where i watched one of them go wild and nearly kill each other. So I suppose I got really unlucky and resisted commands past a certain threshold where it seems to snowball (i'm sure you've noticed this.) This would be less of a problem if I only trained one pet at a time perhaps, but I was doing all three so there was some danger of one going wild and getting killed.
i tried to trap a shadow elemental Inside locked crates but it destroyed the crates when peace wore off How can i trap it?
what mes said! i actually lost a dragon doing the stone oven thing that he described. it became wild while i was afk, so make sure you have plenty of all guard me going on.
