Ridable Beetle

    I'm new to the shard and I was wondering if there were any ridable beetle spawns? If not, are there plans for getting them into the game? and if not, why not?

    I felt like I have seen others give good explanations as to why no beetles here so I searched forums and found that almost everyone hates beetles, Blaise being the most hateful of all.

    In regards to why Blaise left the old lands and came to this server:

    The 3D graphics for beetles do not exist in our client, and are classified as a different style of artwork than we are going for on the Renaissance server.

    As shown above most players will associate beetles with a later time in UO when things started to go wrong (item insurance, trammel, etc)

    That said we are understanding to the desire of such creatures, and have allows our pack horses to undertake a rigorous course in cross fit training allowing them to carry 3200 stones of weight. (vs the standard 1600 non pumped pack horses can carry).

    I don't mind the way that beetles look. It's the fact that they make pack animals and mounts (except the nightmare) obsolete. They are even superior to frenzied ostards in combat.
