I logged in for the night still trying to decide what my evening activities were going to begin with. Took a stroll to Occlo Bank to refresh my bandages and drop a few Items only to see "Ghost Diesel" asking the many Young Players there "who was NOT AFK". I responded quickly and was promptly rewarded after answering a few questions with some lightning and e bolt regs for training and bandages, along with a 7k check for a spellbook. Ghost Diesel helped several Youngs and sat there for about 30 mins offering advice and helping Young Players. I just wanted to say thanks to "Ghost Diesel aka Timbo Slice" for the Leg up, and Cudos for helping promote the Shard and trying to retain a new playerbase. Thank You UOR for the Young Player Program as well. I am a SP vet, I can scratch out an existence from nothing in a red world, but having a chance to get going with a lot less death robes is a great help.
Any new player can PM me in IRC and I will gladly help you out with a package to get you started a bit. 1000 Lightning, and 1000 ebolt regs and 700 bandages . Also I include 7k for a full spellbook IF you are not making a mage, and would like something else it can be arranged , but I highly suggest magery as one of your first skills ( bladespirits rock) . Anyway - anything to help the server retain new players and grow is always a positive in my book!! Also, I do not require any type of repayment , the only thing I require is that when you are able to, pass the help along to another new player !
