Going along the same lines as benefits that go away upon character loss, I would love to see additional bank space added as a plat reward. I know all of the cool kids are rocking forts or better, but sometimes, you just need a bank.

You can fit countless items in a small house. No one needs a fort for inventory, only for display/convenience.

You can't be serious. Your countless items would be highly vulnerable to theft, not to mention the logistic nightmare of utilizing or accessing your countless items in such a small space. I suppose you could categorize utility as a convenience, but who is prepared to live like that?

I'll take multiple houses instead, thanks. :D

Table wall, and stacked/dyed backpacks. You can even increase lockdowns with platinum. I'm absolutely serious that I could keep everything I currently own in UO, secure, in a small house. It would take better organization and I'd be less likely to hold onto some things, but it is absolutely possible.

Edit: if you don't use a table wall or open your table wall before locking the door and detecting hidden, you fail miserably at home security in UOR.

Vain posturing! Do it for a month and I'll believe you. You won't because it's totally impractical. Prove me wrong, sir.

Everyone who has money has access to a trash barrel regularly. Good news, it holds unlimited gold in one of the tightest investment accounts known to man.

If it wasn't going to take me untold hours to move and re-organize all my things, just to prove you wrong, I absolutely would. Otherwise, I will rest comfortably on the knowledge that I absolutely can do as I've said. I just don't have to because I have already earned vast housing space.

You do realize the original A^T Guild Hall here was a small tower, right? lol

That's interesting, to be sure, but a sm tower is not a sm house.

That said, my common sense is tingling... I still think you're full of RareDung1, sir. :)

You can think all you like, it's not going to help you be less blind to the obvious. I have literally four containers I use on a regular basis in my keep. I have three others I use in the keep next door. The rest is a wash of excessive sprawl for organization that is totally fluff. For example, the weapons are all in stacks of four chests: Vanq/Power/Silver/OtherSlayer, one stack of four, per weapon type. I assure you I could simplify that down to about MAYBE 10 backpacks, in one corner of a small house.

I'd spell the rest out for you, but you want to pretend like it's impossible so I'll pretend like you're a good enough thief to understand how things work and we'll call it a draw.

You're kinda cute when you're condescending. Wanna make out?

Also, you're kinda missing my point, or ignoring it. I am not asserting that it's impossible. I'm saying it's impractical and nobody would ever do it so it's a red herring to mention small house living as an option, considering everything you own.

You've admitted that you would be unduly put upon to move in to such an arrangement, yet you insist it's totally practical for someone else to live that way. I guess you really are serious...

Alrighty, then! I love you enough to let you be wrong if you really want to.

You're completely missing what I said from the get go then. I said the only purpose for a larger home is display/convenience. That last word there is a huge clue to enlightening yourself.

It might be worth noting that the guy I replied to said "forts or better", lol. In fact, it is actually MORE practical to live out of a small house than a large for the simple sake of having literally everything within reach from a single tile.

As someone who only owns two small towers (and I really don't need the second one), I can attest to this. Small house living is super convenient (and I only use the first floor of second tower).

If I do buy a larger home at any point, it would only be to decorate.

I would love an outhouse deed that you can buy, use on your doorsteps, and place an actual outhouse within a few tiles of your house sign.

It's temporary you see, since whatever "hole" you dig in the ground will eventually fill up, and the outhouse will be torn down. Say... a month later?

And anyone that gets in your own out house gets poisoned, because well...duh.

Everyone can afford at the very least a large brick, if not a large tower, even a newer player could grind one out in a day farming just pirates or orcs. I had farmed well over (like 500k over) the deed cost on my first large tower well before my young status had run out just killing scouts with my axxer in occlo.

Expanded banks is a awful idea, and I will again state that I think there should even be a weight limit on bank accounts. If you can afford more then 125 items, on 15 toons(1,875 items), that are so important to you that they must be banked then you can afford a house to stuff them in.

Side note there are tons of places to put a large tower right now, people like to complain about how they cant place a keep or a fort, keeps and forts are premium housing, and for a premium you can own one.
