let's not act like OP doesn't kind of have a valid point. any game where one template is the best template at half of all combat for 15 years and running has a stagnant meta. where the OP goes wrong is in failing to realize that this is a server which is intentionally locked in to a specific timeframe of a game. this means the meta will never really change unless weird, custom systems get implemented. p.s.: @MrCandyMan some people believe that Machiavelli intentionally gave poor advice throughout "The Prince" in an effort to weaken those in power with the hope of eventually seizing a position of power for himself. p.p.s.: @Blaise entirely unrelated; your scribe/macer is an ingenious template.
I personally would question that theory on the grounds that Machiavelli had no right to any power and, in my opinion, would never be able to hold power against the Medici family. It is an interesting idea though.
You are right. That's why we don't really know what his true intentions were. We may only speculate. I side with most historians in saying that Machiavelli truly wanted the Medici's to keep their power, and was giving them the best advice he could. And honestly, if you read, "The Prince", most of his ideas would be very effective for the time period. He also points out why many Empires were successful and why European kingdoms were always failing. In conclusion, Machiavelli could have been trying to trick the Medici's, but I doubt it.
Tamers may be OP, but half the people playing tamers on this shard make up the difference because they are easy to kill even with their dragon dragon nightmares. Too many tamers forget about magic reflect. Too many tamers are far too confident in their ability to say All Kill and win and that is their major downfall.
Was. It was fun for a while but losing good weapons as often as I die (every time I fight, lol) was just not something I felt like supporting any longer. Now he's just another boring scribe mage for synch dumps. /wrists
Well, it was actually quite a formidable template in the right circumstances. If you were joking I guess the joke is on you that you don't understand how viable the template was. Sure, it wasn't another sync-dump chump like the rest of the shard, but he did really well at flag running, both in and outside CTF, with occasional monster war hammer hits thrown in.
What if we created a guild that keeps killing dragons at their spawns 24x7 in order to nerf tamers? That'd be intense.
Let's leave tamers be and not fubar my content and likely, most of yours. No, I am not a tamer... tamers are my content.
