i dropped the full 23 animal brown one on him, it's the bluish/greenish scroll he gave, the one you click to make a gate to the place with the monsters/tamers to kill

the one that holds animals is brown, he gives you a green one when you fill up the brown one and drop it on him.

Inside every bank has a plat vendor.

Pretty much everyone will accept plat at 10k for trades if that helps you.

You can either save your platinum, or sell it to another player for gold.

1 Plat = 10,000 gold.
