The new ones are, the old ones (recently patched) are actually blessed. I would put a picture but I can't get on atm. BUT, if you notice, all the spellbooks now say something above them when you check their description (they didn't use to); the new ones say newbied because there are also blessed ones.
It really is. Someone mentions the christmas tombs, and all of the sudden it's a global change. But hey, flaunt it if ya' got it!
Why would this change have ever gone through? All it does is hurt any new players if they ever decided to make a red. Has anyone tested making one on your scribe? Assuming it's newbied. Also @ OP i have a couple i could sell you if Pill hasn't already
Dont think you can craft spellbooks. Just runebooks. Spellbooks are store bought, or through char creation. Both now are newbied.
Starting with Magery gives you a newbied spellbook, but not a blessed one. At least on the toons I've made recently.
