(95+ fishing is required to catch a "Big Fish", tis by-catch of a sea serpent which is caught offshore in deep waters)

Big Fish datestamp must be between 8/1/2015 & 8/8/2015
Winning fish will be verified ingame so keep fish until end of tourney and don't mount.
Mounting a fish will remove the datestamp.

An angler can place only one fish in the biggest slot and only one fish in smallest slot. (for example- Mr Fisher can win 3rd biggest and 1st smallest, BUT NOT 1st and 5th biggest. Also, a player with multiple fishers can place both Mr Fisher & Ms Fisher in 2nd and 5th place biggest. Point is one angler can not take 1st and 3rd with same fisher but CAN take 1st and 3rd with two different fishers.)
Players can use multiple fishers however fish is ALWAYS credited to the angler (character tagged on fish).
A player can use Mr. Fisher, Ms. Fisher, Fisher Jr. But above applies.

Unclaimed scavenger!!!
In honor of UOR's 3rd anniversary,
Several simple scavenger hunts will take place at random times during the tournament for the prizes not listed on the Leaderboard.

Here is how the scavenger hunts work:
A room in IRC will be created and people will be asked to join if interested in participating. Participants will be given a series of clues to my location. The first person to locate me and say hello, my name, or essentially acknowledge me wins the prize. You must acknowledge me; simply finding me is not enough. UO Journal will be used to determine the winner if there are two or more people who find me at the same time.

Rules:
* The tournament will be held Saturday August 1st, 2015 to Saturday August 8th, 2015. All fish weighed in must have a datestamp on/between those dates. (Note: datestamp is based on UOR server time, US Eastern, -4 UTC)
* Prizes will be distributed the following week.
* Fish weighed in will be credited to the angler, not who turns. Anyone can submit fish for any angler. Angler must be present to claim winnings.
* Use as many fishers as you like. Again, fish is credited to angler marked on fish. (some players are using more than one fisher)
* No sign up required! Simply post a screen shot of your catch but keep it for prize reward and... DO NOT MOUNT FISH. Mounting a fish will erase datestamp. Fish will need to be verified ingame to collect your prize. Only fish weight will only be recorded. You keep your catch.
* Anglers tied will split the prizes of the two respective places. For example, Anglers tied for 2nd and 3rd place will split the winnings for 2nd and 3rd place.

Notes on Fishing:
Double-click on a fishing pole, then click on a body of water. If successful, you will catch a fish. You might catch something more interesting than a fish. Success with this skill also depends on the availability of fish in that specific area.
0-65 - On land you will fish up Footwear, Magic Fish, and Normal Fish.
80+ - Sea Serpents (No SoS Message), Special Fishing Nets.
90+ - Treasure Maps 100 - Messages in a Bottle (aka MIB) / Waterstained SoS Message
95+ - You can reel in Big Fish which can be used to make Trophies via Taxidermy Kits.
You can get to 100% fishing on land, but deep sea fishing gives much faster skill gains.
Monsters will never spawn by fishing from land.

Good Morning Fishing Fans!

John "P" Bender here, reporting live from Sosaria.
I will be your eyes and ears this week as we follow "Fishing Team Judas Priest" in this glorious Tournament!

Our favorite "Metal God" Fishing fellows had a slow start this morning when they tried to board their Vessel, only to find it had been sabotaged! Details of the damage are not being released at this time, but any updates will be reported as soon as possible!
No Doubt the proper "Authorities" will find the responsible parties and punish them swiftly!

Luckily Team Priest's steadfast Sponsor "Survival Gear" Ind. had a larger replacement Vessel on hand to get our boys back in the game!



Back on the water, Team Priest has sent in their first report of the Tournament...*eyes the soggy parchment*... well it appears Rob has struck first with a "bait-fish" of 16 stones, and they seem to be doing well on "loot" as well...in particular a "slimy green piece of parchment" with scribbles on it.

I like how the names that are listed, in terms of helping this events, are arranged to look like a fish.

Knowing Zyler this was probably intentional.

Zyler has this strange habit of almost making you believe he is completely incoherent, but then shows extremely lucid moments where I am certain he is a genius trapped in a Zyler.

If you look at some of the past tournaments you might see a pattern...
I believe the first time it happened was in alphabetical order and the fish made itself
