really blaze trash talk , heated. I just suggested that with pking could we have all pets being bonded, heck I am even for dropping the slots to 5. yet all of a sudden people like yourself started trash talking me, and getting on my case for saying it. I was not heated until that happened. so sorry but f**k you. I didn't start it, you all did. I just made a possible viable suggestion hoping for a reasonable response on it. besides which its not up to you. the devs are the ones in charge, they can either say sorry but we don't feel that is a good balance, or they can say yes that is a great idea. either way I will go with what ever they decide! they are the ones in charge I was only making a possible suggestion.

Grizzly, you do realize that this thread (which was mainly just b**ching to start with) is now littered with you replying to yourself, right? It's bad enough that you feel the need to cover your incompetence with cries to throw out time-tested systems just to better suit your floundering level of play, but you've tossed aside multiple offers that might help you out of this situation. The solution here is simple: get good.

But at this point I have little interest in helping you. First you s**t on the staff with "they tend to cater to the griefer...and not the player", then you s**t on a skilled player with [HateCrime] quit over "the griefing going on". I'm all for taking a random potshot at Blaise, but when you say stupid s**t like he's "to young to understand that", it just drives home the fact that you have no clue what you are talking about. Also, weren't you also the guy who got jailed over advertising for another shard? All of this leads me to believe that you bring this on yourself.

You got a mouth on you son, I tell you what. Here's my take on it:

If you're going to engage in very low-risk, extremely high-gain gameplay, expect PKers to show up. For their gameplay style it makes total sense to attack those who are generating the most cash and high-end magic items. And to be fair they are providing the extremely high risk to the situation to balance things out.

The same thing applies to barding hot-spots. If you don't like loosing pets, try barding, but you'll still have to be watchful for PKs.

Also, if a group is trying to actively prevent you from farming (instead of letting you farm and then ganking you for the gold) it sounds like you've made some enemies. It makes no sense for a group to force you out of your hunting spots unless they hate you.

Finally, I have yet to be killed by another player on this server. Why? I'm pretty darn good at running. It's really hard to get killed by even a few PK's if you're mounted, prepared and paying attention.

Are you sure you want to play pre-Trammel UO? There are literally TONS of other MMOs out there that have extrememly minimal or no death penalty in them, and with no unconsensual PvP.

I'm not trying to push you away, but when you sign up for a pre-Trammel UO shard, isn't PKing expected? Isn't the possibility of PKing part of the reason you signed up here in the first place?

Great perspective and question Basoosh. I understand it's directed at the OP, but I'll give my answer as well for some perspective.

I joined UO:R (and Voldeshard for that matter) because I prefer the pre-AoS gameplay mechanics. On OSI I was a total Trammie after the split. The reason for this is that Felucca dungeons quickly degenerated into gankfests on my server. Prior to the split this was not so, due to a very large anti-PK presence (who later all moved to Trammel).

If I had it my way, I'd have a Publish 15 server with no Felucca. Then again there's all kinds of problems there too. Trammie griefing was very annoying because there's no recourse. Virtually no threat of interference meant tamers and bards were left to totally farm down the high-end mobs and generally bloat the economy.

So in short, I'm here because I enjoy the pre-AoS gameplay. The devs have done a great job creating a balanced and fun server. I'll leave these big decisions to them, because they are obviously better at this than I am

Grizzly I suggest your join a guild for mutual protection, if your getting killed by pks a lot.
Also even if you could also bond your drags/wyrms if they die they lose 10% of their stats. So if a particular dragon dies twice, say within the same week, then really its faster and easier to just tame a new one, rather than retraining the stats on your old one.

I think why he's suggesting bonding is that the White Wyrm spawn was also being camped by PKs after he got ganked.

wow ... there are too many tamers with dragon around...if it makes thing easier for tamers it ll be a dragon game not an rpg game anymore...

also about the rampart of the pks... i am not a very social person so i ve been soloing in lonely places for those 8 days i been playin and till now i was only pked 2 times and both times the pk even ressed me after ....it was realy fun haha

if u havin problem with pks try to go to not busy places im sure u can find..specialy if u are not in the high end mobs..

Wait a second, I have a child as well, a full time job, and a home. I like to have fun and relax after working, taking care of the kid, etc. I achieve this by playing my PK in game. So please tell me how your time is any more valuable than a "griefers" time?

I spent years in the Army Infantry in a Time Sensitive Target platoon, wtf does this have to do with my playing in game? The answer is nothing.

Vets are whiny, especially the Air Force. Please take this elsewhere. Before you get on me for the first sentence, I'm a vet (not Air Force). If you can't deal with the level of grieving and the loss of pixels, you are free to find another shard.

This thread has the proper usage of the word "Voldeshard" that is all.

Seems to me you guys should be a bit more thankful for what a nice PK Inti Jiwana is. After reading everything Grizzly has posted it makes me believe every other PK out there is going to kill you , dry loot you, murder your pets, camp your house, beat you up at school, AND take your milk money (false?). Don't say I didn't warn you when the 100% rezzing/ no looting goes away... (grizzly isn't helping) owned and owned. #crymore
