    Hiya!

I have a few questions about housing on uor.
I have read that you must block the entrance with a table to avoid that house thiefs gets in. Also always detect when going in just to be sure and lock the doors. Cant I secure chests here? If I want a vendor and house is public mean that i cant have any storage? Could anyone explain the diff between private and public?
Lets take this two example, i want a house to store my stuff in and be safe during night macro some skill, how do I do it as safe as possible? Will the meteorstorm hit me if im standing close to a wall?
Or I want a house with a vendor or two and sett it to public, will I by any chance be able to store stuff there?

Not a house owner yet but someday I will.

    Thanks everyone

Yes, you can have secure chests. The number of secures you get is determined by the house size. (1 for smalls, up to 25-ish for massive houses). You can also purchase additional secure containers with platinum.

You can have storage in a vendor house, yes. You can use secures, or you can block off a section of the shop with tables and put items back there.

Vendors can only be setup in public houses. Generally, public houses are open to the public, and private houses are locked, but you can still lock/block a public house if you want.

You can still be hit my meteor swarm in houses from the outside if you're too close to a wall, correct. However, meteor swarm and chain lightning do 1 damage to people in houses here.

Also, table walls are not a requirement, just a suggestion. Keep your private house locked, and always use detect hidden when you come and go.

Thanks guys, so with secure containers it is safe, same rules as im use to, 125 items, no weightcap? And changable security on the chests? Anyone, friends,co owner and owner?

Cant I secure the doors to friends and up and dont mind lock the door?

But what is all the talking about housethiefs, they stealth in and steal stuff when you away?

Or have I completely missunderstand it ☺

Great to hear, so in other words the spells ms and eq cant kill players in house?

    Thx

Secures have a 400 weight limit.

Secure can be set to friend/co owner, yes.

Doors can only be unlocked with a key. You can put the key in a secure bag by the door if you want for friends.

If you are careless and leave a door unlocked or open, yes a housethief can get inside.

You are "pretty safe" in your house. Meteor swarm and CL do 1 damage, so you could still be potentially be killed if someone got a lot of people together casting meteor swarm.

So if I put a big sign outside my future house. "No thiefs and spells are aloud in or around this house" i would be almost completely safe ☺
