Hi guys, need a little help answering a question.

From my recollection the standard provo mage template would be:

    Magery
    Eval
    Med
    Resist
    Wrestle
    Music
    Provo

Would it make any difference to just use anatomy instead of wrestling? That would give the equivalent 50% melee dodge rate right?
Just figure it would be easier for me to macro that up since im new here.

I guess another question would be can you spar without being in guild without going grey? Perhaps if partied up?

I'm sure I used to know the answers to these questions way back when :)

Sure, use anatomy. It works exactly as you said.

There is a method for sparring like you described. Have one of your characters go grey outside town. Have the other attack him. Then after a couple minutes the first one will be blue to everyone else - but grey to each other (in combat with, atleast). You can return to town without any worries as long as they keep initiating combat every couple minutes.

    Welcome to UO:R!

A provocation mage (bard) you listed will be a fun character.

There are many methods to train provocation. If you're curious, I'm sure you can dig up several posts on the forums about them.

    Welcome to UOR!

Love the provomage set. Really fun and rewarding (loot wise). Whats great about it is you can go solo hunting almost right off the bat and get some decent gold to train up magery (provided you start with 50 provo, 50 magery, and macro music for a few hours).

Drop into #PS on IRC if you have questions; we are here to help the new players!

If it were my first character...

I'd drop eval or wrestling for hiding.

Ya, I'm with Mindless. I feel like wrestling won't benefit you all that much starting off to be honest. Hiding may be much more beneficial or peacemaking for when there's only one monster and you have to wait for the second etc..

Thanks for all the advice guys. Are you recommending hiding as a way to avoid pk's? Or for waiting for mobs to respawn? Also, do your provoked mobs stay provoked when you hide?

I'll defnately check out irc, although most of my forum time is between appointments at work and irc doesn't seem to work on the ipad.

All of these. Although many ppl here have tracking so hiding will only buy you a VERY small amount of time to regroup and decide your next action.

Hiding while mobs are provoked doesnt break the provoke.

Hidng in between spawns also much safer than just standing there out in the open :)

I have hiding on every template where I can possibly spare the points....I just feel safer when I'm all grey-ed out :)
