I was gonna go for a Nirvana unplugged song myself, and plateau woulda been my choice. I honestly can't believe you picked this hahaha This should win hands down : ) EDIT: Def not a risk, my 2nd choice on unplugged album woulda been "where did you sleep last night", i just love the raspiness in kurt's voice when he gets down on that shit haha
Dude, I'm just trying to choose honestly. I literally think this is one of the most beautiful sounding songs that I've ever heard. He's awesome.
I def agree. I haven't listened to alot of music in the last 10 years...after having 3 boys in the house, I prefer peace and quiet like an old grandpa grump. But kurt was/is my favorite vocalist of all time and most of the songs that I like the best are the ones that most people don't know well. Which is why I couldn't believe you picked it haha My first thought was ooh, Nirvana unplugged album, but i started scrolling the page first to see what everyone else posted, and there it was : )
Someone posted a Nirvana unplugged song. But that wasn't the real killer song of that set. Pennroyal Tea was. One of the last concerts before his death. Probably one of the most emotional songs of all time. Listen to the part where he nearly stumbles but pulls through it. Gives you chills.
So many possibilities here. But I'll throw down some more all time greats: Long one, but considered to be one of the great sets of all time. Not live, but great emotioanl vocals. Good musics always appreciated right? And speaking of vocals. Shes got a great voice.
YOU! ... your submission was the only one I'd never heard that I really thoroughly enjoyed... I need a banjo!
Sweet! Yeah, that guy is a trip. He puts out a lot of stuff, improv and otherwise under his name Daniel Higgs. I think his banjo-playing style is really cool. I don't know a lot of banjo music but it seems like he has a unique spin on it. He also used to sing for the old Dischord Records punk band Lungfish, of which I'm a huge fan.
