Check this out! I was in the harpy room this afternoon with my 2 day old char. At one point I was getting my butt kicked, and this Tamer poped up, saved my ass, scared away a PK and gated me out. Very nice. We were having a chat and he told me to stay put. 20 sec later he got me a horse and I thougth to myself "what a nice guy"! Then he told me to follow him and gated us to Brit bank. He transfered me a check of 25k gold and I was stoked! Then he told me to follow him and he bought a house deed, gated to a very sweet spot, put the house down, transfered it to me and gave me some extra pointers. (I know! wtf right?) How cool is that for a Christmass gift eh? Anyway, just wanted to share. Very cool move from this guy and when my account is up, will keep that spirit up! have a good one all!
Welcome to UOR and Happy Holidays. Most everyone here is awesome and it's a great community. Don't get discouraged if you get pked a few times. It's a great server with a great community and staff. Most are willing to help out.
It's fun to do things for new players because most people are already set. It's good to do great things for newbies. Someone did it for me and saved me WEEKS of stress

Ive been here just a few months...and heard many stories similar to this one. Most players once they figure out that you are legitimately new will likely go out of their way to help you out...even the hardened backstabbin' PK types Welcome to UOR! The ONLY place to play UO IMO! PS - dont listen to this guy...he will boat block you on your first week and leave you out to dry and hang in the wind like an old used flag!!!! JK Amfekk...I just love to give you shit about it It really happened but....it was my fault entirely for being a dumbass.
