Hi there So i talked a friend of mine into playing this gem of a game but we always encounter problems when trying to create a new account for him. Doesn't matter if i try it at my home or at his. Loging in to existing accounts is no problem but when trying to create a new one we always see the error: "There is some problem communicating with Origin. Please restart Ultima Online and try again." This has been for two days now. I created two accounts for myself a week ago and my brother is playing like 2 weeks or so. Can it be that creating new accounts is disabled or something? Thanks for the help and rainy greetings from switzerland
You can only have 3 accounts per IP address. So if you created 2, and your brother 1... Then thats 3 for your IP. If you logged onto your account from your friends IP address then that IP also got linked to your accounts. You will need to contact an admin to get your friends IP removed from your account, and explain the situation for family to connect and logging in at a friends house. The best way to get assistance is to join IRC http://www.uorenaissance.com/irc and directly message either Telamon, Ezekiel or Rammar. Explain the situation that the one IP is your friends and he would like to make his own accounts. Also 3 accounts per IP can be made larger in situations of family in the same household wanting to make accounts.
hey there. thanks for the quick answer. i already talked with chris yesterday or the day before and he told me to register our accounts which we did. he told me it should work then and so you guys can clearly distinguish which account belongs to whom. the curious thing is i never logged into one of my accounts at my friends home, so i don't know why he couldn't create his own account there because it obviously would be the first one for his ip. another friend could create his 2 accounts at his house just fine. he also registered them i believe. at least he told me we use the same isp however and live at the same town. maybe that's the issue he can't create one... we also like to play together from my home from time to time, so i don't want to get our accounts accidently banned of course if suddendly 4-5 accounts are logged in from the same ip edit: i will probably enter irc later tonight (well for me it's tonight at least ) for clearing this mess up. edit2: Telamon just helped us creating his account. Thanks alot. It really seemed that we share the same IP block living so near together in the same town.
