I hate this idea.

Being new to this server, I have met some REALLY cool and helpful folks in the last week or so.

But I remember the Chaos that is a Random IDOC falling in the woods with nothing in it but a few Reags and pieces of armor. I remember the wars that were fought just because a timer was ticking down on an IDOC back in the day. No one knew what rewards lay inside, but many folks were dying for them.

I don't see how someone new like me is going to benefit from this... The new folks are going to be slaughtered by the many, MANY veteran players of the Shard. Many of whom this Vella person probably does not want to see basking in his glory. Many of whom won't appreciate the item as much as the slaughtering of newbs that will prelude the looting.

Idocs can get pretty nasty and it's safe to say this one will probably be a war zone lol. However, if enough people show up, no group can totally defend it from everyone. I'd encourage any new player to show up, what do you have to lose? you might be able to snag something good anyway.

Oh, don't worry, I will be there. With every character I have parked near by... with bells on and laces tied ready to run.

My hope is to snag one item worth snagging and get away with it

This will be a blue fest (aka generally safe for even newbs to grab some items), IF you do an announced time drop. Don't be vague, just drop it manually at an exact time.

I'm maybe 2 weeks old tops here so i've never met Vella (sorry to hear he's gone before i could), or even seen an IDOC before, but curiousity might bring me over to see what it's like/maybe try to snag something. I'm on JP time so It'll be exciting to see somewhere crowded that's not banksitters in Occlo

It's definitely going to be a red fest, unless it was dropped early morning EST when most pk's are probably still asleep or hung over

I think you guys forget one thing:

I don't think they will be there to mass kill newbish IDOCers or whatever.

Hopefully they act as body guards for those looking to partake in the IDOC fun like myself! Haha. I think this will be a fun!
