Top dollar for gold runic weapons is 10k, if you take in to consideration the failure rate, you'll be lucky to get 15 Gm Spears. Coupled with the Hassel of peddling your weapons, wouldn't it just be easier to take 6k per charge and not have to deal with the hassle?
If you take the ingots about 7k copper @ 18per that's 126000 just for the ingots. Plus you need all that bods and spend time finding and making it all. It makes sense smiths don't want to sell them. Make it 175 and it's yourz.
I've bought 5 hammers in the last month, for 150k or less. I agree that if you are buying ingots instead of mining them yourself your profit will be snaller. But don't forget the reward for turning in the body! It's hard to argue with a free market though.
