I like dexxers, but they just aren't balanced on this shard. This shard is for Mages and Tamers. If recalling by a scroll-in a runebook is 100%, it would not break anything. Not being able to 7x GM on a dexxer like you can with any other class that uses Magery as their combat skill sucks. OSI kind of fixed this by adding Chivalry (I'm not for one moment suggesting to add Chiv). People may be too worried that dexxers may actually become balanced. Either way, I'd like dexxers to be balanced in some way and I see this as possibly one minor thing to bring about that without harming/changing anything else.
I read this a lot, and for a dang long while I would have agreed with you still. No one-build 7x truly in nature here works if you're seeking the "elite game" in uo, no. This is why tamers just magery and mages use bard skills if you're actually out to make $ My provo dexxer can solo lots of instanced content that makes my tamer buckle solo. Check out Elektra on the main website. Lots of wealth can come from them, it's just a different pace i promise! Once I finished my peace dexxer I haven't bought regs.... I farm them If you are ever curious on some fun ones lemme know!
You think Dexxers are balanced then? - I don't understand wtf is wrong with Archery on here also? Why is that fucked to oblivion?
*groan* Fine, I'll play... I don't think a high dexterity melee character with one or more barding skills is a dexxer... discuss.
No more then a high dexterity melee character with a mare and 2 pet dragons is a dexxer. Great idea btw, the risk is built in via requiring runebook in the players backpack and recall charges. That and of course all the people having fun farming with dexxers and risking their stuff. Seems like this would open up a lot of more viable dexxer builds.
Dexxers shine at all sorts of things. I can farm prime time and make rough 15-25% less and still find good silvers? I'm in. Solo AMIBS and level 7 tmaps? I'm in. I really think that people are just in this whole "i have to have a tamer to be profitable!" mindset. I play my dexxer daily! Should a dexxer be able to solo dark ones? fear not.
It's true but at least it means melee + field = fun profitable times amibber dexxers use provo usually!
Oh I wasn't thinking about profit so much as just convenience and a better variety of builds, with risk included. A dexxer can already do this currently, just inconveniently, spamming recall scrolls until you succeed. Or that dexxer with have to rely on a gate bot, but ultimately, that dexxer already exists.
Dexxer is usually someone who leans almost entirely on there dexterity to perform quick physical hits, all these other "dexxers" you speak of are actually bards and tamers that happen to have high dex. BTW I'm dubbing my axe warrior chick a strengher...
If you were in my house, you'd be ejected, and I'd call it a sacred journey. Now let's never aos speak again
We have bods?!?!? Yeah, dunno how long youve been playing for but there is a fundamentally massive difference between changes for the aesthetics and changes that affect the basic structure of your template that impact everyones base playstyle. I agree though, changes for the better should be entertained and thusly not yours, sorry
Because you suddenly get to apply extra skill points into something else instead of the required Magery. That would change things, yes? Honestly I think you are the stubborn one here
Like I said above, it would give non mages extra skill points and thusly an advantage It's not about less Magery, it's about effectively having extra skill points since no sacrifice into the Magery skill is being made. Would be like mages being able to tame frenzied ostards without taming or another hundred or so combos Might as well have an open skill cap
