You missed: Yes, remove the gump menu when entering gate from guarded to unguarded region, maintain recall prohibition based off criminal status as well as "flee from battle" hindrance, and revert public Moongates to the originally designed "moon cycle" instead of the option menu. Now, THAT ÃŽ would get my vote.
This. I'm not voting in a weighted poll that doesn't cover all the valid options -- and I'm all for keeping the aggression timer in.
Dump da gump... Recall and flee, if you can... Moon cycles rock! While your at it, please PLEASE dump the skill locks. *evil grin* No skill in staying GM at anything if you can just lock it out. Of course there are jerks with a pile of kindling that can ruin your GM whatever. Might end up being slightly less attractive to new players but if they are really new, they would think its normal anyway.
I'll admit, I didn't even read all that. I just saw "Siege" and clicked. . . Now you all know my weakness. . . *Still didn't change his vote and, Trammie or not, still thinks the lost lands should fall under proposed gating rules*
Sorry, I'm unclear... I have an inferiority, complex and trying to act tough in 15 year old wizard games alleviates this a bit. Am I supposed to pick the first one or the second one, for maximum street cred?
For maximum street cred you should find some minor symantic point from the above posts and argue about it even if nobody presents a counter argument. . . Go!
Someone attacks my blacksmith in town, I auto wrestle back before calling guards, and lose 1.0 blacksmithing. /wrists No thanks. "Siege" rules for dungeons sounds very fun, I would have voted option #4, but I had casted my vote too soon I guess.
I don't think there's much room for trying to squeeze Siege rules into a non-Siege shard, without hurting a large portion of the playerbase. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for an SP shard, but I don't think that would be a positive change for UO:R at present. It won't be that hard to create an SP variant somewhere down the line as a 'next level' challenge for shard veterans or subscription donators.
I think a good compromise would actually be to keep the criminal/flee from battle prohibition, remove recall to and from dungeons but allow free gating to and from dungeons. Nobody would have to be too put out hoofing it to the bottom of a dungeon which I fear would negatively affect the player-base. I still think T2A should fall under the same rules as dungeons.
