Here I learned a lot about griefing, PKing, vegenence, and trolling. It was like watching a generation of players bitterly wonder who killed who. Was he my friend? Was me my foe? Names will be remembered. From my short experience, I will never forget everything that happened. In fact, I'm pretty sure I developed PTSD just from hanging out in this cesspool for a few days. But now I think I am ready to embark on my next journey. I hope to never see this place again. Goodbye, Jhelom bull pits. I will NOT miss you and I will not be returning! ps. I think my favorite moment was when an ORK came up to me and demanded tribute. So I gave him my death robe and he walked away. Nice guy, that ork. edit: added grin to establish better tone of post
fwiw, I wrote this in semi-jokingly/playful tone. In a weird way i feel like the experience was a necessary evil. but still evil!! mean!!
oh yeah of course im not quitting!! this place rocks!!! guess i didn't make punchline clear. > Goodbye, Jhelom bull pits was supposed to bring the post back to center. guess it's not as amusing as it was in my head
8/10 will read a post by ham again. I have 2 tamers and have never used jhelom bulls, actually I've done both fully attended for 99.9% of the parts. Glad to have you around ham. I have actually seen quite a few people leave when making a tamer and insisting to argue that is the way to do it, and rage quit. If your mind can handle it then go for it, it's free skill while not playing, and some people can't stand the grind, but I have manually made tamers quicker than people have afk'd theirs. This is just a general post saying you don't have to do bulls and get grief or see the petty feuds if you don't wish. Not directed at ham, just for anyone thinking of a tamer to know you can do different and quicker if you don't mind hitting hotkey and don't mind a grind. If you prefer to watch Netflix and would rather gain a couple pts and res, then jhelom is for you.
Delucia here as well. Very cool city with more than just bulls thats suits my tamer Vanaondo well. He did visit Jhalom 2 days ago when it was crowded with Cherries retames but now I train elsewhere - Where? I do not tell. Only P'S will know.
A few weeks ago I asked on IRC what would be the best (=afk) way to train a tamer after 70ish skill. @snap dragon told me to not bother setting up hell hounds in hyloth etc. but to just stay at jhelom bulls afk training all the way to GM. To me it worked perfectly! It sure is slower compared to attended training elsewhere, but nevertheless, even without a herder on another account I GMed at Jhelom after a couple of days. Yes, there were griefers that got me killed several times (mostly by luring a silver serpent over to me), but that didn't bother me at all. Had another char there hidden that would simply ress my tamer and on I went. Completely afk (admitted, the last points I gained taming some retames a friendly tamer brought to me). @ham If you need retames in the 90s just hit me up!
