my gosh there is so much to do I don't know where to start! Bods, fishing, tmaps.... What is everyone's fav money making tool , I'm thinking bods...
I'm not in to getting rich quick. Then again been playing since 1997 sooooo I've done the get rich quick. I just play the game. A lot of people here do battle mining, fishing to get money without much hassle.
Personally, BODs are one area I would stay away from. You need a serious supply of resources to crank through them for the valuable rewards where you will see profits.
Plenty of new players have got into tailor bods and sell CBD really quickly. That doesn't require much resources, and tailoring is easy to gain as a skill, cloth is cheap. That being said, AFK bod collectors will be punished severely.
I end up doing pretty much everything though my favorite is probably tmaps. It seems the most adventurish. Followed by dungeon diving. I do also enjoy some fishing en route to the various little islands scattered across the oceans.
Best gold per hour is Champs, but since you are new, provo eval with hiding is a sure fire way to pull 50k-70k an hour with little to know PK issues. Blood eles, elder gazers, lich lords, arctic ogre lords etc. Provo, hide, and use magery to finish off the mob's. This is what will finance ALL those other endeavors you are so excited to do. Plus all of the above drop T-maps and Slayer type weapons. <----More items you need to do the fun stuff! Just go farm your balls off, character build is less than 4 days. GL, and welcome to UO:R
make 3 fishers 1 provodexxer 1 tracker mage (at least) 1 tamer 1 cartographer 3 BoD mules 3 resource gathering team 1 NoH team member 1 CTFer seek permission to have additional accounts "for your kid" 3 stun mages (at least) 1 thief now that the addiction has settled in, quit your job and rest on unemployment 3 more BoD mules 3 more resource gathering team 3 more tamers now get out there and conquer everything with a swarm of nightmares when you're done with that, haunt the forums daily and complain about how bored you've grown and incessantly talk about "the old days" er wait.. on second thought open one account - make a naturalist
Lol !!! Pvp is my thing , so I made like 3 pvpiers on each account , the others I dunno yet , battle miner sounds fun , t mapper, your resorurces chars contain what skills?
My favorite? robbing muthaf€&%#!'s In other realms I really loved Tmapping too. Haven't done it here, but seems really cool. Battle mining seems worthwhile. More fun than regular mining. But maybe gets a bit old killing the same monster forever. I considered it briefly. I have a good laugh swarming medium power mobs with pack group tames like grizzly bears and frenzied ostards. ::tips her helm at Keza::
Bayara - You can tag along with Sally later on if you want to do a T-map or 2... I love to do everything really. RP around Skara and Yew Fishing T-maps Instances Taming Zookeper quests with P*S Mining and battle mining Crafting - Every damn craft there is bla bla bla bla.... Something I did not do at OSI was just walking around the world exploring it and do whatever comes up - Killing whatever I like, well birds for feathers, some animals for fur and any mob that attack. My closest friend Maja (Barbara) at Europe shard used to do that but I did not. Just recalled where-ever I wanted to go for the moment, stressed back and forth. I spent 3 days lately to just walk around and I will continue doing it and it is also damn relaxing. @Bayara: I found a nice spawn point of ore ellies 2 days ago while exploring. I will revisit that spot with my miner for sure. What I dont do: I have not visited dungeons more then twice so far for some odd reason. Well theres so many other things to do. I have done all the dungeons at Europe. PK Hiding Stealth Stealing Begging Tracking Well I had such a char for test at Europe but it wasnt my thing really.
These are all good tricks! But here is how you get rich : 1st: Make friend with rich player 2nd:Wait till he quit
Good idea Random, what what is worth most? A good in game friend or gold?? But the rich friend might not be a good friend...
If you enjoy crafting, Brit farm lands are great for resources. Lot of everything in protection. Staff here was kind enough to place forges along the mountain. Also lot of forges placed in wilds in T2A. Here you can log oak logs. Need those for some of the fancy furniture and boats. You can only buy boat plans from NPC . Fishing can be very profitable. Time consuming, but fun. Tailoring. Lot of cotton and flax around Moonglow. Perk, any leather animal has chance to drop a fur. If doing bods, Plate bods are profitable, but fail lot smithing plate. Avoid bone bods. lol I'm not into PvP, but there are several nice arenas placed about for challenging other players. Also there are factons and events like Capture the Flag. And of course, good old pking. As you said, lot to do; so depends on your play style. Welcome to this crazy land and have fun. Westra on Irc, Marjo "Governess of Wispfelt Village" in game
