I am not sure which forum to post this on, but I hope this sits properly. I recently became aware of a fellow player who was banned for being loose lipped about the shard he used to play on. The name of the person was "Crazy". I would like to urge the shard staff to continue to let him play: He is a little loose llipped but was giving the shard a good run! I don't think he was having an easy time getting used to the shard and I think he needs another chance to fully climitize himself to UOR. Sincerely, Thanks.
If it's the Crazy that was in full plate and Norse helm, it wasn't for just mentioning another shard on occasion. Trashing this one while offering players items on another shard would get you banned though.
This player was caught attempting something to the tune of cross shard transfers, advertising another server, etc. And constant demands that the server staff give him items "or the server isnt worth playing on" because he couldn't get a top tier slayer in his first few hours on the server. He also was putting minimal to no effort in character development but instead was seeking out new players to have "conversations" with them that always led to another server and its mechanics. He spent 10 minutes telling someone how mining was better on another server, which was quite impressive for someone who had never mined here. Regardless a staff member took him aside and spoke to him about advertising. He was warned, promised to not do it again. . . and was immediately caught the next day doing the same thing. He also created an account name which shared the name of another shard owner I wont name (which is an odd choice to name your accounts after the owner of the server you were advertising). After talking to him myself the next day and his story changing several times, he continued to demand I make him slayer weapons and complained about the server. His story about his connection to the server he was advertising changed several times during the conversation. In the end we both agreed that this was most likely not the best server for him. While I will accept there is a small chance this was innocent behavior. Several players who witnessed it felt it was clear advertising as well. His interactions with the staff had a whiff of trolling we tend to get when we catch someone red handed as they play the coy innocent criminal game. Our time is limited, and he ignored a clear warning. So chances are he will not be allowed to play here.

Dearest new'folk, escorts are your friends, as are moongates. "destination" "I will take thee" (best way to get a full spell book, vanq's, ect, very quickly) - train your anatomy on them while you run them to cash. Or hiding, or something - multi-task. Gear is pretty cheep on most vendors, easily located around the moongates. You only have to find the 'right' vendor house once. The traveling will get you to know where to look (as an added bonus!) If you need help, just ask. If you need handouts - be polite, invest a little time/effort in the right way. Become part of the community. "Hail" or.. "Hi" goes a long way. (Gold pls - does not) You could be here a long while before an ethereal mount is in your backpack, but that just comes down to what kind of a merchant, thief, or indulgent wastrel you become. Become a legend and the bards will write tales of your exploits. Good or mischievous. <3 PS: I still can't find any plate-mail.. so now I have to make a smith.. damnation. hehe! (time invested in the right way - toil and rubble! You'll meet others who suffer the same fate.) As goes with all professions; taming, pickpocket, ol' sword an board' ect. That is all.
We take decisions like this very seriously, however this player engaged in some strange behavior for pretty much every minute he was logged in. As our time is limited as volunteers when we ask someone to stop and respect the server, and they ignore that request they can find themselves directed to another server as we simply lack the time to deal with them.

I wish I had kept track, but I'd wager over the past 10 years of bank begging I have made maybe 250k. That's a pretty big guess, but it isn't rare for someone to throw 5k at me and tell me to go away.
