I bring to you my Ice Palace, which I have named "The Pen is mightier then the Sword". The fortress has a history, but part of that which directly relates to myself is the fact I won it by participating in a writing contest...thus the pen is mightier then the sword. I tried to keep each room/area to a theme and I hope it shows. With out further ado: The entrance: Where the work gets done: And my weapons of choice(items denote the type of slayer): The west wall is for the work shops: Smithy and Armory: Map room and plotting tables: Can't have a proper place without a bar: East wall is for my guests who need to sleep off that ale: Up we go into the Pirate room(lacking my AMIB trophies!): Out into the Reef(followed by a night pic!): The Holiday themed Bedroom: The Bridge of my Enemies: The Virtue War Shrine(missing a few trophies): A Garden in progress: A closest for my armor and holiday cloths: The Great Library: To the roof with the Daemon summoning: And a Golem Cave: The Graveyard: And the Orc Fort: And a tip of the hat to the greatest shard on our lovely planet, UO-R: Hope you all enjoy!
Entry - Best Decorated Small House "Ye Olde Eiffel Workshop" Eshrown, a humble craftsman of many trades, lives alone in a four tower complex on Eiffel Island. The life of the "Lord of the Four Towers" is a solitary life of hard work and simple pleasures. He utilizes the Northeast tower as his primary residence, and today he would like to introduce you to this comfortable yet industrious home he calls "Ye Olde Eiffel Workshop". First Floor: The first floor is Eshrown's primary place of business. Here he attends to his many trades including tailoring, cooking, carpentry, smithing, and tinkering. An admitted workaholic, Eshrown spends on average 13 to 14 hours per day on his various crafts, allowing himself a day of rest only on the last Sunday of each moon's turn. He is a perfectionist who lives for producing fine quality products to which he is proud to append his good name. At times he becomes so single-mindedly engrossed in his craft that, after working through the night, he finds himself knee deep in a pile of gears, tattered cloth, and fish parts. Second Floor: Our goodly smith makes his residence on the 2nd floor, where he retires to a cup of strong wine after each day's hard work. A man of surprising culture, Eshrown is a conoisseur of fine Britannian art and surrounds himself with scenes of both beauty and bloodshed. The bear rug (which pulls the room together) is a trophy of a once different path walked by a man who is more than meets the eye. He is willing to reveal neither the origin nor the purpose of the orc mask he keeps at bedside, however his few guests have often wondered whether he might partake in occasional seasons of the macabre. Third Floor: Placing his independence in the highest regard, our humble craftsman keeps a small stable and kitchen atop his tower so that he need rely on no others for his sustenance. Two cows, Bess and Barnabus (currently in repose beneath Bess's warm teats), provide him with fermented milk spirits, ripe-aged cheese, and succulent veal while his two chickens (named Duck and Zamzebam) are more than happy to supply farm-fresh eggs. Have you ever had an egg straight out of the bird? You haven't lived until this is so. The pizza cooling on the tower sill will make tonight's repast. That's all for today's tour. Eshrown thanks you for your visit! And cordially reminds you that loiterers, vagabonds, and other trespassers will be shot on sight. Go carefully into the Britannian night, seafarer! Eshrown Lord of the Four Towers Craftsman of Eiffel Island
Here is a last minute entry for Medium House. I present to you, the first floor of the (currently under construction) Kirby's Sanctuary Inn in PS Town. When completed, this will be a functional player-run Inn. Players (who are friended) will be able to log out in the Sanctuary Inn and take shelter while visiting Project Sanctuary's lovely city. Unfortunately, the upstairs area, which will serve as my Office and will be accessible only to ranking members of Project Sanctuary, is still under construction. As you can see, my construction crew tends to leave tools everywhere, so it's a bit of a hazard trying to walk around in this area.
I'm unsure if i've already missed the dateline for submission (what timezone is it?), but if so please disregard. Small House Category: The Outpost This house was gifted to me by a stranger (now friend and neighbour) during my first week here. It has grown with me from just a table wall and bags to what it is now. Lots of adventures and dungeon hunts were prepared for here. The look and layout is simple, but functional: 1: Preparation The box contains bandages, a small stock of reagents, and useful scrolls i've collected. Chest of drawers holds repair deeds, spare instruments and blank runes. The placement/shape of the table wall allows me access to the secure bag at the door without lifting the table wall. A quick grab of supplies and a check of the maps before heading out. 2: Organisation Frequent killing of monsters and adventures means lots of loot to go through. Magic weapons, armor, instruments, and other things (maps, fire horns, evil mage cloth) are organised and stored here. 3: Recuperation After a long day this is where I sleep. There was initially plans to use the forge and anvil, but the flat surface of the anvil has since been repurposed as a surface for meals. Thank you all for looking. EDIT: More background: This is my main home. I love have to work with the 25 lock downs and having everything in one central small location. ID-ing, sorting, and clearing items have to be on point.
I completely agree, with so much going on for me atm I am going to have to dedicate time to going over the subs!
