^ I tried the one there: https://github.com/Hotride/UOFPSPatcher but it doesn't appears to be working for this client. I did a bit of searching and someone made it work for Mac. So would it be possible for Windows? Can't play without it, personally.
https://www.servuo.com/archive/2d-smooth-fps-patch.509/ Altho I think patches like this are in some sort of grey area within the shard's guidelines
I see. It's that it could be used in PvP for an advantage or something--like I heard. But it's so pleasant with the smoothness it provides, heh. Really enables you to appreciate the game more. (I mean to be supportive of it, hah.)
The one I posted works perfectly with this shard. I'm trying not to promote it but I do know what you mean, you do feel like a feather when using it.
Just saw some videos of people using it. 100% a fucking speedhack, no doubt. Are we allowed to use this since others have already started to? @Chris
So being able to travel farther than others in the same amount of time is just smooth? Have you seen the videos of people using it? They are travelling twice as far as normal...
Definitely downloading this "not a speedhack" for significant gain in speed until telamon sais differentley. And it is most definitely a speedhack bro not sure what planet you're on
i'm going to test it. By going to a flat area, setting two accounts (one with, one without) and setting macros to head towards to same direction, we should be able to see if one char stays behind.
Did the test. Both characters were moving at the same speed. FPS patcher only makes the game experience smoother as I thought it would. After 15 seconds of running around, both of them had the same amount of tiles between them. Try it for yourself if you don't believe me.
Doesn't matter what your or any other test shows. It only matters what Chris says. I assume this fps thing is only a client mod. Chris has said in the past that those are ok as they have no real way of detecting them. But he said that about the tree hack / small dragon hack. This is the only reason why I run them...
That's what I was basing my use of the FPS patch on. I assumed that if the shard was okay with client patches, a smooth enhancer would be okay. That said, if Chris concludes that it give a game advantage (I would love it if some tests were done) I will respect the decision. I'm actually surprised this topic has never been addressed before. The FPS patch enhance the game A LOT, imo.
Do you use the officiel UOR client or an updated version? I do see a big difference (just like in the video I posted above)
I only just started using it and can see why you have that opinion, i agree, better experience. Btw, i understand Chris has final say.
