Me too. Chacun a son gout, and all that, but I think mares and dragons etc. is OTT, so for myself, I have vowed never to do one, and not yet made a tamer. Sorry to see you go, Gollum. Even the best shard ever isn't going to be for everyone. If your only chosen play style brings you into characters who spoil it for you, then why would you hang around?
How bout greatly reduced damage then. Multiple mares dealing 5 or so damage would still be quite a deterant.
What. The. Fuck. I played this Xmas event reasonably aggressively. Killed alot of elves, decent amt of minibosses and other Xmas mobs. 0 (ZERO!) scrolls. Rng must truly hate me.....ZERO SCROLLS.
Im just going to be resigned to the FACT that I am going to be perpetually poor and beind the curve of every single other player in on UOR and never be able to afford the shiny/cool stuff. Hell with it. Time to just grab a bag of 75 of each reg and run around and kill everyone I see and bench all the trammy chars.
Was it overworld or dungeons? I think the probability of scrolls in the overworld is close to zilch. Gotta take the highway to the danger zone. I got 5 scrolls today. 4 with my bard/mage/tracker and 1 with my tamer. Got one from an elf knight, the rest from lessermobs. One from a raindeer another from a snow vortex and the other 2 from rando dark elves. All in dungeons.
99.9% Dungeons. Think I killed 2 mobs in the overworld just out of frustration to try something different. RNG just hates me on UOR. Its like this for me every event and with every drop I never seem to get anything good drop....ever. Time to just accept it I guess.
I was once mining in occlo dungeon on my young miner, and as I was dragging ore to smelt, someone was picking up my ore off the ground and smelting it himself. He did this a few times, so I concluded that he was grieving me. Rather than crying and quitting, I brought my thief (trust me you don't want that) to the dungeon. I figured out that he has his packhorse parked at the entry, so I killed the mutt and used another character to loot it dry. Surprisingly, the mutt had over 2k ingots on it and other wonderful trinkets and mats. I then ran up to him on my young miner and told him to go check on his packy, and told him that this was only possible due to his character and constant grieving. Then I told him, "you fuck with a bull, you get his horns". He then dashed toward the entryway to go check, and found a dead mutt gutted open, violated and robbed. My point here is if you feel someone is grieving you, get out of your feelings and find a solution to your problem. You can't think with a clear head when you're in your feelings.
Fair enough, but how dare some mage come up in here crying about not being able to compete. The nerve.
Sad to you see you go for those reasons. All the best man. P.S. Toons with issues like Wyatt Earp keep this game thrilling, but eventually the grief fest is gonna come his way...
