Hello all! Well, I'm 32 days into reliving my addiction to UO. I had an old friend hit me on FB and plant the UO bug...and here I am! I quit playing back in 2002. The renaissance package released by EA was my first experience with Ultima. I did purchase blackthorns revenge, but never really took to the new lands. I eventually lost interest because it was really just the same old day in day out. I did enjoy the community of the Great Lakes shard though. So, a simple google search and reading the forums brought me here. This is my first free shard experience. Hell, if I would have known about this earlier I would have been here sooner! I just wanted to show a quick recap of my amazing time here thus far... -I got to participate a week in on the server down scavenger hunt where Chris gave me this killer green polar bear to ride! -Started a Mage/tamer build (my previous favorite char which I forgot how much of a grind it is to GM), created a new toon that Corruption was kind enough to let a stranger use his boat to train. -got to hang with a fun group during the attack on Trinsic who some random fellow gave me a statue! -placed a small tower...home ownership is so great! I am really pleased with the amount of land available here. (New goal is working towards a Tower....ohh how I long for thee) -got PK'd -joined an Orc guild (BUM). -Vlad helped me train tracking to find those damn Leprechauns! He also offered up a house to use and a kick ass Bardy to slay with....also felt sorry for my bare feet and hooked me up with some fresh boots (Btw, I did run from end to end of the lands and scored one Lep!) -meet Peep who showed me her amazing house! Gotta get one of those pianos eventually... -had a blast doing a dungeon crawl with the guild the other night! -read countless hours of this forums helpful guides, colorful rants, and loads of trash talk! Literally, you guys make my Lol! All in all, I want to say thank you to the staff and the people of this shard....I am really enjoying myself! I don't know about my wife, but I am!
Fraggle- It is great to have you and I think a lot of us can relate when you bring up you're wife's jealousy. This game is amazing. It has been a large part of my life for many years and I finally I get to experience what I believe to be the best era of the game. The staff here is attentive and always has something to entertain us. Please invite other old friends and lets enjoy the game like we used to. Welcome and please come visit Watership Down.

Glad you are happy. The wife will get over it. Like Blaise said, wives come and go. For your next one I'd suggest marrying a gamer chick like I did.
