Hello Renaissance, I have lost access to all my computers except for an Ubuntu 16 laptop. I can not for the life of me get the UOR client to load with wine. I can get Razor to load just fine, and other windows programs load with wine just fine, just not the client downloaded from this website. Also, I just foudn out today that my virtual box virtual machines no longer work (havent used them in 1.5 years). I was going to try and run UO on an old win7 virtual machine but that is a bust as well. I have spent my entire Saturday frantically trying to recover my UO account on here, and refresh my homes. I fear that I may not be able to access my stuff before I can afford a computer that will run UO. I will IDOC and likely have to just leave the server. Grasping at straws here - are there any "UO on Linux" experts on here that can help me? Does anyone run UO with Ubuntu 16 successfully? Are there any other options I can explore? Please help!
If you message @Chris on IRC and explain, he might be able to hit pause on that decay status for you till you can get on guy. I have no experience or advice on the client I'm afraid but hopefully he can help you out!
Thank you, I will try that route! Diddnt know that was an admin option! FWIW, when it crashes, I get a text error that says the following: I get the same error if I use 'client.exe' or 'client_noenc.exe' directly with wine (that is, without Razor) FWIW, here is a stack trace that my terminal spits out:
