Hello UOR people. I'm Ariel (Not female Ariel.), I'm 32 years old, and I used to be a full time gamer when I was younger. I used to play UO ~18 hs a day (On an old shard called The Dark Side), like about years ago... So, a bit of personal background about me: Right now I'm a happy Skydiver(Only an easy exam away of being an instructor, so if you have any questions about the best sport in the world, I'm always open to chat about it), I love to Ski, both on piste and off. I'm planning on taking the speed riding course sometime soon. (It's the sport where you ski with a canopy above you.), I'm a Hang gliding pilot, and done a few hours of airplane pilot but got bored of it. Basically, what some people call an adrenaline junkie... But I don't think about it like that. It's more like someone who loves flying and skiing. For a living, I'm a specialist on Microsoft Technologies, working as an engineer for EY, but that's the boring part. Always looking to have fun playing UO by doing anything, usually I was the crafter who helped newbies to have fun, and enjoyed having a modest large brick house, filled with locked dye tubs for everyone to dye their clothing. (They used to be some kind of unique item on the shard I used to play, not sure here). So, I've been reading all possible guides about UOR (The shard where I used to play was pretty much unique, so most of what I knew doesn't apply on other servers, so I'm pretty much a newbie.). The guides posted on the forums are awesome, I was able to learn a lot by reading while macroing some basic skills. Nice to meet you all! Hope to have fun on the shard for a while. Welcome! Definitely make use of the guides to get a handle on the era and Perfected(tm) systems. If you’re doing any Barding, someone in P’S can let you into the Provo house on Ocllo. Also @ReZon has a new player housing program if you need a safe place to macro and store things.

Welcome, I've been skydiving once and 10,000 ft isn't high enough and doesn't last long enough! What is the maximum you can skydive safety? Also try whitewater kayaking if you like the thrill.

There's not an 'unsafe' altitude. Above 13500ft (common altitude for skydivers), you will get hypoxic... (actually above 10.000ft for a long time will get you hypoxic as well.). There are drop zones where they jump at 19000ft, but you have to go with oxygen on the flight. And then run for it when you have to jump.
I've been on irc the whole week. People are very friendly, and willing to advise new people. I also got a great spot for an L shaped house for free. My small tower is there guarding the place, next to my neighbor's big tower
