+1 to scaled platinum across champs of different difficulties. Also, moving some platinum to the Tentacles would be great - that's actually the most dangerous part of the whole Harrower fight, and 80% of people just sit there and watch the other 20% grind away at them.

It's not unfair. UO has always rewarded multi-taskers over single-taskers. You could use that argument for anything - crafting for profit, BOD farming, mining, standard PVM farming, NPC escorting, etc...

    Do more, get more.

    Agreed.

Also, I disagree with PFR. I don't think multi-account should be encouraged or condoned. Sure it's commonplace, but no one should feel like they 'need' to run three accounts just to stay on a level with the rest of the folks in the field.

You don't need to do anything. UO is and always will be about the options you have. If it bothers you (not you specifically) so much that someone else is getting a few extra coins, then do something about it or don't. You can rob them with a thief, kill them, bring more of your own toons, or just don't care and continue playing the UO you want to play. You don't need a lot of wealth in UO, especially pre-AOS eras to be at the top of the food chain. You just need a developed character and "real life skill" at the game.

How about a low carpentry reward: Keg dye tub with limited uses
I really would like colored kegs and would pay more gp for them.

But are too expensive. Arent they? I think for a single coloured keg there should not be much more than 300-400gp/dye.

This quote just to push it up ;)
This! Double/Trible the profit with just throwing 1-2 E-Bolts is shit.
First step may be scaled fixed platinum to champs and split it to damagers.
Second step should be a system of any connected account check and only give 1 platinum to one account.

I believe it's 3 plat per charge right now for furny tubs. I don't think that's prohibitive. Two accounts doing nothing but staying logged in for a month gets you a set.

Furniture dye can indeed be used on them, however the colors are not great.

I have considered some special overrides for keg only colors. For instance as a shard we do not want bright red/green/pink tables and chairs. However a red potion keg, or green potion keg would be visually acceptable.

I've added this to my todo list to add a "Keg Dye" section to the furniture dye tub.

Any opposition (possibility?) in making the display cases automatically "secure" any item placed in them / on top of them? Caveat being that containers don't get secured to prevent exploitation of it's use. Leave it strictly for display purposes.

The number of lockdowns will be very prohibitive for such an item to get maximum use, for public houses anyways.

I know you can buy more lockdowns, just a thought.

How many weapons can you lock down on top of the cases? Maybe 2 at most? I'd assume it wouldn't be too much of a burden on lockdown counts.

I mean, maybe if you wanted to turn your 7x7 into a weapon museum, you'd run into trouble, but still...

I'll expand a little on what I mean.

If you're thinking about displaying a cupid's outfit, you're looking at 5 to 7 lockdowns; if you add in other valentine's event items you're probably close to 20 total lockdowns, for just one event (keep in mind some items are very small, and you could probably fit 5 or more in a single display case). This applies for st paddys day event items, thanksgiving, or even if you wanted to display normal spawning rares or interesting slayer weapons. If you did this you would have no lock downs for actual furniture, unless you were content with decorating one room in a villa and leaving the rest empty, for example.

I guess my thinking is that regular furniture takes up a lot of the lockdowns to begin with. I think the number of lockdowns per house is pretty close to ideal in most situations, for decorating with furniture. But when it comes to displaying items, most people tend to do so behind "walls" - my guess would be due to the lockdown limit.

I like to see cool items, but I don't like to see cool items placed on roofs of houses, behind locked doors, as a means of being displayed. I don't know how to express this any better, it just doesn't feel "real"... lol

It's important to remember that people play this game for different reasons. House ownership, as it is in UO, is unique. Catering to people who may be attracted to this aspect of the game may be beneficial, without detracting anything from those interested in PvP or PvM. Only impact this would have on the actual game play and economy is the number of lockdowns sold via the platinum vendor. And I'd be willing to wager that platinum sink is nearly nonexistent.

At the end of the day, it's a display case, and should offer some sort of protection. I don't see anyone being hurt by this.

I am probably in the minority though, since 99% of the houses in the world are completely empty, and all this may be moot as I don't know if any of this is even possible, just wanted to throw the idea out there.

Agreed that it sucks that a lot of people block off their lockdowns. As one of them, I can say it's because I'm just super cheap. Probably time to spring for more lockdown expansions.

But yea, I think the main problem is it would undermine the platinum system, depending on the value of these cases. My suspicion is it would also be a bit of a coding effort.

    Looks cool.

Can we please add a chance of platinum for turning in BoDs?

    Everything else looks pretty legit.

    good work

Also, it would be nice if there were some kind of event schedule for all events.
