    Going to echo what everyone else here has said, you're going to see a totally different auction if you actually put the SB as the reserve price.

    I can pretty much guarantee that you're not going to have any bids the whole time you're holding the item ransom to an amount we don't know and aren't keen to find out through aimlessly bidding.

    What you might get is someone doing something like offering the SB and adding 100k to it till the reserve is met before retracting their bids, which is normally an unfortunate and annoying thing to have happen which results in people getting aggravated at the person who retracts but in this case would probably get more appreciation.
