So just curious of things to do after 3pm. My internet sucks so although i like pvp i just cant. So when 3pm ish hits i find myself looking for stuff to do that doesnt involve gold farming due to reds. Everybody gotta make a dime but its just not worth reorganizing my bag constantly. about burned out on mining and lumber jacking but was wondering what other folks are up too when reds are rampid
ive thought about training a tmapper up. it just got boring in osi to me and i always felt like i was breaking even. is it a little better in renaissance?
I've gotten anywhere from 10k to almost 12k on a level 3 if you sell all the gems, kill and loot all the monsters. I always drag every little thing out of the chest to milk it for all the monsters it will spawn.
If you enjoy farming just use a build with hardly anything to lose. @wylwrk made a cool video showing a char build that only requires a weapon, bandages, and an instrument. Only GM made is fine. The PKs probably only loot your gold.
Another option would be holiday scrolls.. they sell for like 300-400k right now (i think). You can farm in peace and you have a chance at cool rare drops, more scrolls ect. If you've never done them before i recommend you team up with someone on the first few. GL
Thanks guys. yea i have done a few lvl 1 tmaps on this server but havent fired up full blown into it yet. might be a good time passer. got my tamer gmed with 3 bond slots so i can always piggy back 2 accounts and be okay for the tougher maps i believe. and what the holiday scrolls? ill look this up on the forums but no i havent done anything with that so that will gimme something to chase. and yea been doing bods as of late too. just one blacksmith though thought about making another just to pull in a few more bods so i could complete some of the large ones without having to buy as many appreciate the ideas
Would suggest a tailor for bods too those Clothing bless deeds can turn into a good payback of your time, sell for 80-100k per or you just save yourself that money on your outfits
You probably already know about fishing. Some people find it incredibly boring, but if you have 3 fishers and use Ahirman's macros you can do very well. And as you fish you will pick up some AMIBs here and there which are also safe from outside player interference so long as you open it inside your locked house after detect hidden. And like others have said, if you were just wanting to farm, you could do treasure maps. If you wanted to reconsider farming, there are some tricks (depending on your template) that either make it extremely difficult for PKs to kill you, or allow you to get away before they can get close to you. I rarely feel like sticking around for a fight (unless I know the PK) and so I use a lot of these, PM me with your template if you want some suggestions. ETA: I strongly agree with NerK's advice to do the Christmas scrolls (and even AMIBs) with experienced friends first. They have a time limit and so going "slow and steady" will likely take too long to finish if you aren't way above-average in PvM skills.
Lvl 1 - 900g Lvl 2 - 2.5k Lvl 3 - 3.5k Lvl 4 - 7k Lvl 5 - 20k Lvl 6 - 65k Lvl 7 - 400k All day, every day If you want a smaller batch of them than what I have listed @Madraolc , give me a shout on irc, if I'm around I'll hear it, if not I'll get back to ya when I'm around. Or if you don't see what you want, I usually have a small selection of all types anyway. Fishing's also a good little earner, between nets, MIB's and AMIB's and relatively peaceful if you want something to do while watching TV.
(I'm on a lenovo think pad, I feel you, Pvp wont happen for me as a serious endeavor but it is still fun - face down or arse up) You never know what adventure you might find if you travel the wilds. Or whom you may run into --- * start up a naturalist character, buy a pack horse, get a mortal and pestle, a fletching kit, an axe, a fishing rod, a pick axe, scissors, carpentry tools, a tailoring kit, an instrument, lock picks if you're into that , a dyetub (bleach clothes white for cloth), a spell book with no spells (limited if you went magery) and a regular book - to remember what you've been doing. You'll find weapons, animals, scrolls, wool, cotton, logs, ingots.. oh and gems! can't forget those. All will aid you in your journey. Or.. you'll make them! --- You choose what aid or help you receive from the good people of sosaria. (too much and suddenly it can be an actual detriment) though the packhorse has to carry something. * don't macro unless you're preforming bodily functions. The packhorse will be useful for a variety of skills while you roam (anatomy, eval, animal lore, veterinary) and that baby can carry all your goods! Limited strength oh my! *play - the character, don't automate it* * I camped my stats once and I regretted it, having to preform a variety of skills to raise your stats allows you to really see what your options could be for your character. Am I using this? maybe I need to do this for a while, oh' I haven't tried this yet (you never know what you might end up enjoying) or who you'll run into while preforming different tasks in different places. If you get lost, or think.. what am I even doing? Make route for a city *protect that packhorse* and pick up an escort quest, Seekers of adventure are amazing tanks early on: (also assist in healing) *they may also provide bandages.. (dye tub) if they meet their end. (Npc hirelings are pretty useful and very cheap but they aren't seeking adventure!) The escort missions always have you set off in some direction or to a cave of some sort. Is it PVM? is it PVP? no, its PVE. This isn't a single player game, you'll run into a whole mess of things * Especially while looking for the most exotic and difficult places to fish!
I am making a dungeon thief for the crowded hours... is really fun, you see the action on the dungeons, and you dont even need to carry any kind of loot but some reagents...
