STORMHOLD SIEGE (TUESDAY TURTLE)

Tuesday @ 9:30 I will show up for the attacking side and with the might of my hammer I will tear down your walls!!

I can't wait to see how this turns out.

I expect a few different things to happen:

1. The attacking team will turn on itself.
2. The defenders defenses and such will be so great we will hold-out until supplies are exhausted.
3. People will be mad.

I think what we'll do is pass out platinum to the defenders, they can't leave until the event is over -- if we survive -- they keep the platinum and the treasure carriers over to next time.

Defense should meet at least half an hour early to get planning.

BUMP

I will join the team that has the least amount of players to help even it out, but only if I get out of school in time.

Based on the sound of things, it seems like resurrecting will definitely be possible (encouraged, perhaps). Should we not loot players who go down, so they can re-equip and jump back in? Or are we supposed to loot?!

There are no written rules for the opposing forces. But based on my observations of some the defenses, the opposing forces are going to be demolished if they turn cancerous on themselves.

I strongly recommend coming with only GM or low end magic weapons.

Oh. As far as looting of the defenders goes I don't know, but as a defender I am going completely prepared to defend or perish, if I am dry looted I'll return to throw stones and hurl discouraging words at the attackers!

I expect looting to happen on both sides -- some defenders will be carrying rewards!

Also I'll instruct defenders not to give out counts!

Oh and finally - mounts or no mounts?

I shall attack with Bard Mage supreme!

The Siege of Stormhold

This is a snap from a RPV video -- I was mooning the attackers before we started from the battlements. But inside I was thinking....... and the defenders were messaging each other -- oh god we're doomed. LOL (language used not appropriate here)

It begins...



We defeated their first wave, who was unprepared for our tricks!


Vlar is dead! Killed by a rogue energy vortex right before the eyes of his two loyal guards Ragnarok and Hazel! Phaedrus immediately assumes command and formulates a final defense of Stormhold's Riches.





The tide of battle slowly shifts in favor of the attackers at the 30-45 minute mark... this was made all the more evident by the first attacker to be slain in sight of the platinum horde! As always in this glorious battle the orcs lead the way!





The men of TT mass and assault the men defending the 'alamo'...Lead by Mes they are met in close quarters by Phaedrus and and the wounded Ragnarok and Hazel. A slogging battle in the tight quarters plays out and both Mes and Phaedrus die locked in mortal combat as the prize is claimed...





Many of the defenders on the Eastern portion of the fortress were bypassed in this assault and continued to fight on for nearly another hour!

I really want to thank everyone who came! Couldn't do stuff like this if people didn't show up. Thank you thank you. I hope everyone had a great time. I did! I really look forward to doing this again in the future with all kinds of tweaks.
