Hi All - Two quick questions regarding Peacemaking: 1) Is it really something that my bard should have or should i focus more on provoke and discord. 2) Also, I have been macroing peacemaking for 2 days and am not getting any gains. Am I doing something wrong. I am peacemaking on myself and it hasnt moved in over a day.
1) Depends on your playstyle. My mage/bard has peace/provo/hide. My peace dexxers have peace/disco or another variation. 2) Make sure there are other people (npcs/players/animals/monsters) on your screen when you are area-peacing. If you are doing it in an empty house you won't gain, try at the bank in occlo or brit.
Another note on peacemaking. Creatures here have a chance to break out of the peace effects when negative actions are done to them such as attacking or taming. It seems to scale based on how close they are to death. So in most fights you have to watch and re-peace as needed.
I have personally GM'd it in a house with no one/nothing in range 3 times myself, and my guildmate has done it at least as many times as well. Its slow, but it will absolutely GM you, unless something has changed in the last 6 months. West Side Sparky, make sure you are not at a 700 skill cap, that peacemaking is pointed up, and skills that you don't need are pointed down.
thanks all. I am at 700 skill cap, and I have everything pointed down except what I am working on. It was going fine. but have been stuck on 30.2 for a full day.
the problem can only be that no living creature was in peace-self range. Take a second accound char and two UO instances -> place them in one room -> macro on It will rise i am sure
